| Comments: | Hi...I am so thankful that I stumbled upon your website!! My little Murphy had a heat stroke last Wednesday (6/21/06). She was only out for a little bit and when I checked on her, she was struggling to breathe. I brought her in and began trying to cool her down. We jumped in the car and call the vet on the way, but he told us not to come in that we just needed to cool her down. It was such a mistake! By 8 p.m. that night, she was lifeless and dying. We rushed her to an emergency vet hospital and she stayed there for 2 days and nights. Her temp never went over 1o4.6 that we know of. She is home with us and everyday improves. She had a lot of visitors yesterday and there was a lot of coming and going in the house, so she is completely worn out today. I set her up on the couch with her blankies and she's napping away. She hasn't eaten much today which worries me greatly. I just wanted to say that I have been just overcome with grief and fear over this. I didn't think she would live. I thank you so much for sharing Logan's story with the world. He is an inspiration and is definitely giving hope to me in the face of this heartbreak. I feel that if Logan can recover, Lord willing, my Murphy can too. Thank you for sharing his story. God bless you and Logan! Hugs, Lorie |

| Comments: | What a wonderful story, I am from Adelaide SA I hope Logan is still with you and you have had no further problems with him. He is a beautiful dog and I have never heard of anyone doing so much for a dog they love, it brouoght tearws to my eyes throughout the whole story. All I can say is what wonderful people you are. What a beautiful place this world would be if all people cared for their doggies like yourselves. I would do anything for mine also, never give up hope until the last thing has been possibly done for them. They give us unconditional love so why shouldn't we give that back to them. I have a beautiful dog called Tuscamada Mr Flynn who is training in Utility work in Obedience in Adelaide. He is my beautiful boy just like your Logan. Best wishes to you all over there from me over here. Judy |

| Comments: | Would like to know more about Aussies as I have had catahoulas and blackmouth curs for hog hunting but they tended to be too aggressive towards each other and females were the worse so I do not have those breeds anymore. I am seeking a herding breed that can also hunt. I know Aussies can herd but can they hunt hogs? I have been doing research on Blue Lacys and the English Shepherd for what I'm looking for. Any info would be much appreciated since I live in Austin, Texas. :) Ted |

| Comments: | Logan, I was so touched by your story. I wish, when I lost my own dog to heat stroke some 10 years ago now, that I could have had a happy ending like yours. My Dickens died so quickly I would not have had time to call the vet even if one had been available - or even a phone. Dickens died in the middle of the night as we were moving into our new home. As if moving wasn't hard enough! I still miss him and hope that you stay as healthy as possible and have a long and happy life. |

| Comments: | Hi! I was so involved with reading about what happened and the recovery. I agree with the Vets,it was the strong love shared that brought Logan through this! Along with excellent Vet Care. You all have robbed my heart and taught me so much about the danger of heat strokes. I foster 13 Dalmatians and will be changing some habits around here as of right now. I am so sorry that Logan had to endure this heat stroke! But I am so happy that he was able to survive and be back home again. Keep recovering Logan. I will be checking back here to see how your doing. Thanks "Mom" for sharing this information with us. ~Lois and "The Dally Pack" |

My admiration to you Ginger for your quick actions that saved Logan's life, and especially for your honesty about what has happened to Logan, too many people would have "kept it quiet" and by your unselfish act of sharing, you have saved many dogs similiar or worse fates. |

| Comments: | Mike & I want to thank each of you for your continued thoughts and prayers for Our Logan's full recovery. You have no idea how much all of you mean to us. The phone calls to us and the Clinic, the notes sent to us and some of you even sending money to the clinic to help with the bill. It is just amazing, the outpouring of love so many of you have shown. As of tonight, I've received over 3,600 emails regarding Logan alone... We just can't believe it. You are truly wonderful people. I'm waiting on Dr Bob to get me the technical terms of Our Logan's condition and treatment. I'll post that on the first aid page I'm building. Our wish for all of you is that you never have to feel what we have been going through since Monday July 9th. And that your companion never has to endure the pain and suffering Our Logan has gone through. Thank you, Mike & Ginger |

| Comments: | I have been following this story just as everyone else has. I don't know how many times I have cried, first when I read what had happened and everyday since as I have read Logan's updates. I even check my email at work - which I am really not suppose to do, but I just needed to know how Logan was doing. I prayed for you and your family every night, and I swear Joey and Rue prayed too! I agree with the statement that you deserve a nomination for the best dog mom. I believe you have won the award. Wiggle butts are the best. I also believe Logan had been adopted by the Aussie L and probably now has the biggest family ever!!!!!! You have been through so much, my thoughts and prayers are still with you. I will continue to look for Logan's updates. God Bless you and your family. Tracy, Joey and Rue too! |
