Bruce, Dean, Tom, Stephen, and Zuleikha: I'm looking forward to the future projects you undertake. And a special thanks to those who worked behind-the-scenes on the two series -- you guys are amazing.

experienced by such talented, gifted actors.
I know it's been said before, but may I also
express my thanks for breathing life and verve
into my favorite X-Files characters over these
many eventful years.

I'll never be reconciled to the fact that The
Lone Gunmen series wasn't given a real chance
to succeed, but I'll treasure each and every
episode that I taped. Much happiness and
success to the peppy lot of you. And...here's my
special 'shout-out' to Dean Haglund whom I'll
never forget meeting several times in person
for as long as I live. What's the closest
to describing the experience? Ever met a
real, live living doll? Well, I have.

A Thank You for farther proving just how sexy being smart is! ;) And that heroes come in all shapes and sizes, even if they’re not fully appreciated. Of course all your hard work has been appreciated, and will be remembered. You have been the best examples of heroism in the purest meaning of the word.

It doesn’t seem that a "thank you" is enough of a thanks for all your hard work and for sharing your talent with all of us. Maybe a great big hug? :)

And, of course a Thank you for extending true Canadian talent, both in front and behind the camera! :) Good luck in all future endeavours, and best wishes.

They were completely the comedy icing on the cake for X-Files, but I really loved the spin-off series and wished it could have kept going. They exposed and upended just about every sacred cow there is, three Don Quixotes in a battered VW Bus, really incredible acting, on both shows.

Thanks, Dean, Tom, and Bruce, for your incredible talent, and for all the great screen moments you've brought us for nearly 10 years........you will be VERY missed!

comments:How can I possibly express just how wonderful I think you folks all are? At first, it was just Bruce, Dean and Tom, and that wonderful paranoia from EBE. Then you kept appearing... and appearing... and appearing. And I fell in love.

I fell in love with the paranoid mind twists, the strange theories, the weird-assed sense of humor, the funky poaching, the banter, all of it. And then a miracle happened, and you guys got your own show, and I got to fall in love with two more characters -- thanks Stephen & Zuleikha! You guys were just as much fun as Gunmen Classic, and I was honored to meet all of you at your premier party. What a night!

I was so sad when Fox cancelled the Gunmen, and fought hard to try to get enough people together to get you guys back, but as things so often go, it didn't happen. But I was happy to have you all in XF during season 9.

I think the worst thing of all was watching JTS. I'm still in denial, folks. The Gunmen's deaths were all faked. Fletcher was the one telling this story, and we *all* know that every word out of his mouth is a lie, so how could the guys really be dead?

I think they were seen recently in the Caymans, actually.

Your work is something I'll always remember and the memories I have because of your characters, and the people I've met in the fandom, are something I cherish. I wish you all the best of luck in whatever you do from here on out.

As one of the co-editors of the TV Tome Lone Gunmen site, and The Warehouse (not to mention a long-standing member of the Frohike Liberation Organization), I'd like to ask if you folks would be kind enough to get in touch with our site when you have any new project coming up. We would love to keep the fans up to date with anything you're doing, and the Gunfen have asked us to keep us informed when we hear anything.

There are so many great episodes you folks were in, I'd have to say *all of them* are my favorites for one reason or another.

I wish you all many years of happiness and success in the future!

comments:Confession time here. I have to admit that I'd never seen a whole episode of the X-files till 4 years ago. I was always very sniffy about it, thought it was weird and stupid. Then (I remember the exact date )first Saturday in September 1998, I was staying with relatives, they said "Oh, you must watch this, it's the first episode of the latest series of the X-files" and I had no choice.

And it was Unusual Suspects.

So after about 5 minutes I'm going "who ARE these guys" (in particular "who is this GORGEOUS guy with the beard?) and I'm totally hooked. And I've been totally hooked ever since.

So this is just to say, thank you guys, for everything.
The Gunmen have made me believe that the little people DO matter. That we can all make a difference. That there is hope even though the world seems very dark sometimes. That we must never give up.

The Gunmen have helped me in my real life too. Thanks to the enthusiam they sparked in me for computers and IT, I am now known as one of the "computer nerds" at work who everyone comes to for help! And that has done my career quite a bit of good. And I started writing fanfic too, and that has given me a lot of confidence I never had before.

And we know this is not the end. The Gunfen are not going to let the guys die. We're going on, writing fanfic, watching reruns, keeping the faith.

The Gunmen Live!

comments: Well, it had to happen: true heroes, vulnerable, scared and altogether human, finally got exposed in the media... Without "superpowers", without the support of a massive organization or billionaire industrialist, powered only by a determination to do the right thing, the Lone Gunmen were a welcome breath of fresh air in the stale, life-sapping universe of media-ocrity... Too bad the world wasn't ready for real heroism...
But there will always be "the few, the proud, the obsessed" and we proudly call you "brothers"! Tom, Dean, Bruce, you made the gunmen real in a way that most TV does not and the characters you created remain an inspiration to all of us who fight, not because we expect to win, but because we can not and will not give in...
Stephen, Zuleika, you also must be commended for your contributions to the inspiration that was, that remains,
"The Lone Gunmen"...
In the post-911 world, we need this example, this inspiration, as never before... Thank you for being that inspiration! Keep the faith, LIVE the faith!

comments:The Lone Gunmen and what they stood for was tremendously important for me. I realize that for you fine actors the characters are roles you play, some of many you will get to play in your careers. Nevertheless, you brought so much to those roles and infused them with such sincerity I could not help but be inspired by the message of dogged idealism and hope.
(Well, JTS and the XF finale notwithstanding -- I regard those episodes as aberrations of that message!)

Anyhow, The Lone Gunmen series had the effect of inspiring me to actually DO something I had been thinking about for a long time: to get off my ass and contribute my time and skills to current efforts to save our sorry world.

Working on the campaign to bring back the LGM series last year made me realize that activism is accessible and rewarding, despite our lack of success in achieving our goal.
The Lone Gunmen show also rekindled my interest in issues around media, communications, freedom of speech and information. So I'm off to volunteer in the area of independent alternative non-corporate radio. Information wants to be free, right?!

All the best with your lives and careers, Bruce, Dean, Tom, Zueleikha and Stephen, and thanks for your work on the X-Files and The Lone Gunmen.

comments:Hi boys... I miss you terribly. You were absolutely my favorite part of the X-Files, and I was so excited when you got your own series. At first I just couldn't understand why it wasn't wildly successful, but after hearing people go on & on about the latest lame Fox "reality" show, I realized that this country is full of morons, end of story.

Thank you for the many years of fun in your role sof the Lone Gunmen, and I wish all of you the best of luck in your future projects.

BUt this isn't hard for me. i have loved these characters for so long, and i just want to thank the actors, creators, and behind the scenes guys who brought me so much joy every Sunday night. You are truly appreciated and will always be loved by so many adoring fans! Langly, rock on. Frohike, you will always have a special place in my heart. Byers, keep wearing that suite. And JImmy Bond, keep working hard on that blind footbal and your dreams will come true. "THe ones who never give up, they never die." I love you guys.

comments:I enjoyed the all too brief series and will miss all those involved. It is unfortunate that Fox was not ready to go the extra mile and try to help a new series-like they used to when they were themselves a fledgling broadcasting company. I have been an X-Files fan since the beginning (right after Brisco County Jr. on Fridays.) It was great to see one of my wishes come true... I wish all those involved with the show, both cast and crew, my best wishes.

comments:To the Gunmen: You took a one-shot appearance and turned it into the most memorable recurring characters on TV. You taught us it was okay to be a paranoid 'geek.' Now let me thank you each personally.

To Langly: Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the times you taught us about hacking and unheard-of punk rock bands. Thank you for putting up with 'Ms. Blondie' jokes. Thank you for the memories.

To Byers: Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the times you showed us how you could be shy, mild-mannered, and soft-spoken, and still save the world and your friends. Thank you for braving your fear of hospitals to save Scully. Thank you for the memories.

To Frohike: Thank you for the memories. Thank you for your lewd jokes and the glimpses of the shy, loving man inside. Thank you for teaching us that even 'dirty old man' have real feelings and that love can sometimes be mistaken for lust. Thank you for the memories.

To Dean, Bruce, and Tom: Thank you for the memories. You taught us so much. You put up with people calling you by your 'Gunman' names. You braved nine seasons of the X-Files, a too-short season of your own TV show, and a tragic, heroic death. Thank you for the memories.

With a whole bunch of love and thanks,
Kristen.

comments:Thank you guys soo much for bringing what you have brought to the X-files. I have been a fan for a very long time, and even though i know that the lone gunman's characteristics were thought up by writers, the actors are really the ones who bring that character to life =)and if any of the lone gunman see this, you would make a 14 year old girl very happy by e-mailing her. thanx a lot, you are the kind of heros every one should have.

Regretfully, I never did watch the X-Files much so I never got to see the Gunmen before the series.

Thanks again. We love you Gunmen!

I love the quirky humour and involving plots. I think the characters are great and very likeable! The off-beat nature and the fact they rarely "win" everything (esp not the girl) is refreshing and immensely entertaining. I'm only half way through the DVD box set and looking forward to going through the remaining episodes.
