I am writing a novel about a man who moves into a late-1800 plantation-style home in Webster, Fl, and I need to know--what is the ceiling height traditionally? Also, I have set mine where there is a garage out back that was originally the home's kitchen, where all the cooking was done. I don't remember where I heard this, but do you know if it is accurate?
