I have recently found out that my best friend in the world may have cancer. He's terrified to find out whether it's true or not. I showed him your live journal and he calmed down slightly. I think he realised that there was life after a diaognis. | Comments: | I just wanted to let you know that I too had an important experience years ago. It was a very difficult time in my life. I had lost my mother and my sister was very ill. I was lost and feeling terribly abandoned. One afternoon I received a phone call with bad news. I was heart broken and was feeling desperate and crying bitterly. Suddenly I heard a voice inside and I stopped crying immediately. I knew that it was god the Father and the message that I received was...Do Not Be Afraid. I love you. I can't describe the feeling when I heard the messsage but it stopped me dead in my tracks. In the years since whenever I am afraid I remind myself of that message. And I can tell you truly that God has taken good care of me and my family.

How nice to finally see you, what you look like, after over a year of praying for you... the young have always touched me -- so filled with joy and love of life. My son used to belong to the youth group at Annunciation Of Our Lord Parish a few years ago and enjoyed it very much. Please pray for him, his name is Matthew. I would like to see young people (children and youth) know the joy of Eucharistic Adoration. The youth are the light of the world, the salt of the earth, as our Holy Father has declared, and it is time they came to know Jesus personally in the Holy Eucharist. May I ask you to pray for this intention, that Our Lord will send people to start Eucharistic Adoration groups especially for the Youth that will teach them to adore Him. This is already in place in the United States -- Canada sure could do with groups like that for young people. They are so impressionable and follow trends sometimes without a thought for the future consequences. They need to come back to Mass, I'm sure you'd agree. I will continue to pray for your recovery. I just read your testimony and am convinced that the Lord wants you to help his suffering youth in some way -- only the Holy Spirit can guide you which way to go... May your courage and strength go out to others, that they may be inspired by you and have hope always. Remember, Our Lord brings more suffering to those He loves so much, and whom He knows will love Him back. He also uses suffering to bring families closer together. Like so many others, I and my family feel we know you so well although you don't know us at all. Your dad has been coaching Ross for the last three years in soccer and we are parishioners at Annunciation. You have been in our daily thoughts and prayers for the past two years; Ross (age 11) and Steven (7) pray for you before bed each night. It's clear that the Lord has given you an important gift to share. What a feeling of strength and faith it must be for you to have been given this gift so clearly. Imagine how many people have been and will be touched by your personal witness. God's will is that through you, he will call to worship countless numbers of people who need their faith strengthened or perhaps had none at all to begin with. We are living in a society that seems to be turning away from God, rather than towards. Your job is to touch peoples' hearts and bring them in some way to the Lord.
