Just popping by to say hi. My grandfather is named Zvonomir Frankovic was born in Kiseljak, Croatia; his father was Mattan Frankovic and his before him Daniel Frankovic. Mattan, my great-grandfather, received an Iron Cross fighting in Italy during the First World War for the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He captured many Italian soldiers and presented them to his Commanding Officers as POWs (it's really a funny story actually). That's all I know about the names of my ancestors with the surname of Frankovic. If anyone is related to these individuals, please contact me or if you have family in the region of Kiseljak, Croatia -> we might be related! I know some of my other Frankovic family members are originally from Italy and then migrated to Dalmatia area of Croatia, so that might help. Best reagards, Jackie |
