Comments:	The first time i went to EMB was in 88 with Dave Graves Tony Henry and John Gaviola from San Jose. I was about 15 years old and i thought i was in skate heaven. Thats when i first met Kelch, he told me he just got on one o one, i didnt know who he was but i remember his 360 flips were just like jovantaes. smooth. oh and his kickflip bigspins. nice. anyway, from 91 to around 95 i hung out at EMB as much as possible, the skating was always great but the people were equally as cool. EMB not only introduced some of the most talented skateboarders, but also the funniest. i remember making Kelch mad once and when we talked about it later he said he wanted to stick a screwdriver in my neck when he was pissed, i laughed, but i thanked God that he didnt have one with him! anyway, even though i wasnt there from the beginning EMB means alot to me and im glad i got to be around for the last four years of what should be noted as skateboards most influential skate spot and crew.

Comments:	The Stage, The Gonz, The Seven, ... . The Justin Herman Plaza has gone, and that hurts. This f**kin city of San Francisco finally has destroyed the most inflentual and best spot ever. There will never be a place like that, also if it would have the best blocks, stairs, gaps,.. . This place was more than only the bricks and the beautiful Ferry Building behind the Wave. From about 1986 to maybe 1994, there was the illest crew, skateboarding has ever had. Those Guys were down at Embarko to push skateboarding to other levels. And no, it was not only that, it also were the unforgotten days, which the EMB heads had. Now it is time to still represent the whole thing, because it will be in our hearts forever. I know, most of the skaters of today cannot understand all that. But I really don' t care as much about all those T-Dogs. They will never really understand skateboarding. Show me those people, who are drunk with their crew at the same place all night and have crazy fights. If they were kickin someones ass or focusing someones board, they always had fun. But the most important thing was, that everybody was down for the other members of the crew. Just look at the story of Thorin (When my homies call), and you know, what I am talkin about. where you hear 'bout EMB online?:	best page ever. especially if you got to witness some the antics. i felt like crying. although i never claimed to be an official member i felt i was there enough to feel connected to it some how. the first day i went there was supposed to be the day the bones brigade was going to film for "animal chin." they flaked. belch gave me my first break in skating by asking me to film his sponsor-me tape. he promised me some products and it took him like 6 months to give me one board, but i felt fortunate that he gave me anything at all, since he was known for sell the same board two or three times. big dirty was killing it then. after i filmed him my phone was ringing off the hook. i made a little video with a lot of the heads. i gotta get you a copy. it's got sanch landing on a switch flip down the seven in like 92. those were the days. never again will a spot be like that. when i think about what they would get away with (fighting, drinking, all nighters, kelch flashing his nut sack at random people, kelch ollieing over "big bird" and hitting his truck on her head, skids tooth getting knockout by someone's board, p-dubs eating glass, ryan punching alf, dogtown demos, g-man bringing down free pizza, etc.)it seems insane that it didn't get shut down earlier. embarco was at its best before the media hype. thanks for archiving a piece of my youth. i feel greg "sloth" hunt summed it up best when he explained to me a few years ago, "Embarcadero is like where everything fresh orginates from. Before i started skating here i didn't care if I saw a guy skating with rails. Now if I see someone with rails I'm just like TSSSSSCH."
