Pumpkin and Spice are still growing and have such beautiful coats (seal point and mitted); unfortunately, Bernie, my husband, died on October 29th. We still have each other but the lose of Mother and Bernie have affected all of us. We cuddle, play, Spice requests his treat, Pumpkin is so laid back that absolutely nothing bothers him; Spice sat on Mother's lap for the first two years of his life and is so sensitive to anything in the environment; he is such a lover and checks on me, if he is not already on my lap, at least every 20 minutes. Prior to Bernie going to the hospital (September, 2006) Spice would sleep on their perch and at intervals first come to my lap and see me, then he would walk over to the caregiver and jump on her lap, check on her and then go to Bernie's feet and lie down. Bernie would often be asleep and Spice did not wake him. Yet he laid on his feet until Bernie reach down and touched him. What unconditional love. Spice would not go into Mother's chair for at least 3 months after she was gone. That is the sensitivity of which I speak. They wait at a large window on the front porch while I'm out and meet me at the door when I return. Almost human, I think so. We could never have chosen better friends. Thank you so much. Judy |

Rumpleteazer (Teazer) and Vegas have stolen our hearts and are getting bigger every single day! They are 10 month old brothers from Emberhearth and weigh in at 18.5 pounds - Teazer and 15.5 pounds - Vegas! They light up every minute of our days! True Ragdolls through and through. I was referred to EmberHearth by a friend on the Ragdoll Cat Network. I must say that my experiences with both Cynthia and Micayla have been among the best ever! They are truly wonderful women who have created a beautiful cattery. I am now owned by two Raggies, who were born on April 1. I couldn't be happier with them. They have the sweetest purrsonalities!! | Comments: | Just letting everyone know I am thinking about hanging a "Subsidiary of Emberhearth Ragdolls - inquire within" sign outside my house....I should be your PR rep!! I just added Carlos to my "herd" (Kali, Guy, & JJ) -another perfect fit. We joke that he had an accident at birth because when he is picked up, his bones disappear! The absolute DEFINITION of a Ragdoll, he instantly relaxes to the point of going into a coma!LOL! He gladly will stay that way as long as someone will hold and pet him, and he sounds like a deisel purring the entire time. On the floor he is nothing short of a riot, constantly playing and dashing all over the house, yet he STILL listens as well as the others and has damaged NOTHING - it's amazing how great and well mannered these guys are. What wonderful, gentle, loving, entertaining companions. I truly believe Hearthcats simply is incapable of breeding a "bad" cat.

| Comments: | A number of years ago, our daughter rescued a kitten found in a creek while at church camp in a rural area of WV. No one at the camp owned her or knew anything about her and noone showed up looking for the missing kitten the week our daughter was at camp. Needless to say, we rescued her and brought her to Charleston, WV to live with her new family. She looks IDENTICAL to a couple of the ragdolls pictured on your website and her personality is TEXTBOOK to everything ever written about ragdoll personalities. We don't have a clue how she came to be where she was (no residential areas were close by, just heavily wooded areas). She was the most beautiful, sweet girl! A year ago she died unexpectedly (by this time, she was 7 years old) and broke our hearts. We would love to adopt a Ragdoll and would like more information. Can you help us?

| Comments: | I have commented before, but I must add another - I just simply can't imagine my home without these cats. Guy and Kali have settled in and made the place their own, and J.J.?? OH MY, J.J. steals the show. He is the guest greeter, the handyman's helper, the dinner announcer, and is growing SO fast. He's caught his mother already at not even 6 months, and is just hysterical. Each has their own distinct personality, though, and I could not imagine even one of them not being here. I want to add one thing I never thought I would use about cats - MANNERS. They have scarred, destroyed, mutilated, or ruined NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT MANNERS. When did cats learn to stop at one "NO"??? I truly could not be more pleased and WILL be back. So gentle, affectionate and beautiful. They follow you wherever you go - truly my little companions. And so healthy! Only one upset tummy in six years and that was it! I will come back to your cattery, when I decide it is time for another little buddy.

| Comments: | I adopted Bailey, a blue bi-color, from Micayla earlier this year and what a delight he is. The boys adore him! I am truly amazed at Bailey's markings and color as well as his personality. He's very playful with the children, as if he is a dog. Bailey loves to chase the boys as they run through the house, and he loves all of his cat toys. He actually takes naps in the handmade cat bed I had bought before we got him and he enjoys relaxing in the cat tree. We are all very pleased with Bailey. Thank you again Micayla!

| Comments: | Hi Micayla - I want to tell the world what a wonderful Ragdoll Nick (St. Nicholas, born on X-mas Day) is! He came off the airplane purring and snuggling and is an absolute joy! He settled into our home in about 2 minutes. You and your family did a wonderful job socializing him. No potty accidents, or scratching - he is even careful when leaving our laps not to dig in with his nails. The kids adore him.

He was bought by a neighbor, but when we were both five, he started coming over to My house - sitting in my lap while I'd pet and sing to him (for hours:) I was never sure what breed he was - but it didn't matter At All. I fell, head over heels, in love with him. He was a rather large cat, with dark chocolate fur that glowed redden-brown in the sun, he had the Greenest eyes I've every seen, and his long fur would mat into miniature dreadlocks - making a mane - around his neck. He looked like a miniature panther (he definitely purred loudly enough:) He had to be an outdoor cat (mom's allergies) which, in the scorching and humid heat of Georgia, couldn't have been easy - and yet he stuck with us, with me, through two moves and twelve more years. I'd begun to think he was immortal (in addition to handsome, brave,and perfect) when he passed away - at 17 1/2. He's the only cat I have ever owned and so it came as a suprise when I only recently that I realized - I don't even know what breed he was!!!! What kind of a cat owner was/am I ??! Quickly typing into GOOGlE: "Black cat" "Long haired" "Green Eyes" - I eventually came across Your website, only to find that the picture of Opurrtune's Mica of EmberHearth looks Exactly like Harry. I'm now convinced that Harry was a Chantilly/Tiffany..
I'll never ever forget Harry... nor could he ever be replaced; and yet I hope that you continue to breed - because I've promised myself to never own a cat from a different breed. |

| Comments: | I am looking to purchase a ragdill kitten for my husband. He has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma. He has had pets all his life and we did have a himalayan cat at one time. His last pet was his hunting lab, but after his health went down he was no longer able to take care of him and had to give him away. That broke his heart. My husband wants a cat that will love on him. We like everything we have heard about ragdolls, but we have never been around them. They are a rare beed in eastern NC. We love cats and were really upset when our Himalayan died. He spends most of his time in his bed, but does get around some. We have a 5 year old grandson living here with us that will give the cat plenty of exercise. We live in eastern NC. I cannot find a Ragdoll cattery close to us. We have a son in Floyd, VA who might be able to help in transporting the cat to us.

| Comments: | About three years ago, I received as a christmas gift the most beautiful kitten I had ever seen. She was rescued from the Humane Society in Tallahassee, FL by my stepdaughter. She had smoky gray eyes, longish hair, and a funny little pointy tail. In fact I thought it was the silliest tail I had ever seen on a cat. As she matured, the tail grew, and I would remark to my husband that the hair on the tail was getting longer every day. It is now a beautiful plume, which Misty uses with great pride, always
raising it when she is in our presence. One day, I was looking through a large book of cats, when I was astonished to see a cat that looked just like Misty, staring at me from the pages. It was a Chantilly Tiffany.After this finding, I got on the internet, and found your beautiful website,which I look at every now and then. Misty, as a kitten looked very much like one of your cats,(the name of which I cannot remember, but it is a chocolate tabby, top left on your page.Misty has distinctive mushroom colored spots on her front paws, however, but other than that she looks almost identical. She exhibits just about all the characteristics I have seen listed for Chantilly Tiffanies as well. She is a well travelled cat, since she has been on two cross country trips with us in our motorhome, about 16,000 miles in all.We both love her to death, and spoil her rotten. She gives us a great deal of joy, and is quite a character. If she really is a Chantilly Tiffany, I cannot imagine how she ended up in the humane society, but I am sure glad that we have her. I am speechless…well almost. Your site is wonderful. I can’t say enough about the chocolate Chantilly/Tiffany breed ‘perfection in a feline companion’. The picture of Mica with the song playing Valentine inspired this message. I want everyone to know how devoted and special this particular Chantilly breed is: Found in an ally filthy dirty not even as big as the palm of your hand about four weeks old, with a determination for life. In 1990, I was found quite by fate. I had not had a cat since I was a young child and was not looking. One evening, visiting a friend I had not seen in a while, out of nowhere she jumped in my lap and loved me like I was her long lost mother. Chirping and talking sharing her adventures since she was gone. I was taken aback and so was her care taker, my friend. Come to find out, Midnight as she had been called for two years, needed a home and not just any home if she had her way. She had not been receptive to anyone that wanted her and was very shy and reserved with her care taker at that. Needless to say arrangements were made and kitty girl came home to live with my son and I and became the princess of the palace. She would not answer to her old name but when she heard Miss. Nichole Renée, came running. Years passed, my son grew up and she was not happy when (her big play toy) moved but became comfortable (snobbish at first) but happy when he came to visit. Missy Renée and I both had to adjust and that we did, settling in for the duration. In August of 2001 she was diagnosed with cancer. The love and devotion we shared was tried and true, I took care of her during her illness and she hung around for me until she new I could let go. On February 12th my precious baby, her big play toy and I said so long. I think of her and miss her every day. One day I hope to have another. Maybe one who’s not quite perfect as far as breed standards go but a little girl that needs a palace of her own to rule. |
