Carl Hazelwood Wednesday, November 11th 2009 - 12:07:26 PM chazelwood@wvva.net I am a descendent of William Gunter aand grew up in Mercer Co. Wv. I really appreciate the info you have on your site. I haven't had time to go thru all of it but it looks good and a lot of work. One error I noticed is Martin Gunter' name. His name is Benjamin Martin Gunter and not Martin Benjamin Gunter. He is my grandfather. I also know where William Gunter,I believe his 2nd wife ( Molly Dobbins), Lafayette ( grandad's brother), and a sister ( I think Laura Lilly ), are buried. There are 4 graves in the cem. Send me an e-mail and maybe we can get together and compare dataa. I live in Giles Co. Va near the wv. line so maybe we can work something out. Carl Hazelwood.

JOY TERRY Sunday, October 19th 2003 - 05:52:46 PM WVJOYBELL@aol.com Hi:I am the granddaughter of Charles Lonnie Terry, who married Lula Ann Plumley. And the daughter of their third born son, George Thomas Terry, born 07-07-1918,whom is still living,I am a new computer user, but have been trying to research Dads family tree. And the plumley side was not to bad, but when it came to Grandpa I always came to a brick wall, mainly because he was only a month old when his mother, "Susan Gunter", who married Ballard Terry died. When she died GGrandpa Ballards sister Matilda took Grandpa on to raise. And for some reason there were hard feelings between Grandpa Lonnie, as I Knew him, and GGrandpa Ballard, dad says they didn,t live far apart when he was growing up, but they didn,t speak to each other. But I want to thank you for filling in the blanks for me. I appreciate it and I know Dad does too.Because he didn,t even know his Grandma,s name. THANKS AGAIN.

I rave about how helpful the Gunter family has been in assisting the past Gunter slaves in discovering their genealogy. Been on the road a lot and trying to make it through an early "terrible two's" with the baby. Looking forward to turning my attentions back to genealogy!!!! Will contact you soon.
