I live in Australia, have done the Aussie Birkie (which is the short 21km Kangaroo Hoppet) and am going to be in the States on a backpacking holiday next year, so will be doing the American Birkie (or probably the korteloppet, considering the hard things I have been reading about the birkie - am not sure what my fitness level will be at that stage, and I think it is important that i am able to stumble back to the local backpackers after the race!!) Great website! Very informative and helpful tips! |

| Comments: | This will be my 5th year at Gravel Pit!! We always have a great time doing OUR medical duties there. I would like to give a big thankyou to all that have shown their appreciation as they ski by or stop in for a rest or potty break. I am so happy we finaly saw this 8-10 inches 2/19 - 20th. We'll see ya'll out there, but hopefuly not for the use of our skills!!!!!! Remember, it's all downhill from Gravel Pit (HA HA). Have fun and ski safe.
