Looking back into the show twelve years later, and discovering that the original voice actors were replaced, after ten years of wonderful service and dedication... was such a disappointment.
I LOVED Eric Stuart's work as James and Brock, and I wish very much that the new dub company would bring him back! For us original fans out there... | Comments: | I am an old friend of Phil Nix. I first met Phil when I was about 14 or so in maybe '79- he may have been 19 or so. He was and remains to be one of my greatest friends. We lost touch for a while but have since reconnected in part thanks to Facebook! Being a bit younger, I've always looked up to Phil as a kind of big brother and a mentor. His super intelligence has always intrigued me while his down-to-earth modesty has always inspired me. He may not know this, but his wisdom on many topics- some he seemed to know intuitively and some by trial and error- always had my full attention. The topis were those of my teenage rock and roll heart - hot women, screwed up relationships, identity issues, heartache, love and of course playing guitar, and listening to great music- a means by which to express all of it! I have been a fan of yours ever since you voiced for the Slayers tv series. I found out that Funimation the animation studio here has bought the right to the 2 new Slayers tv series. Slayers: Revolution and Slayers: Evolution R. I wrote to Funimation asking if they were gonna get back the original cast of the 1st 3 Slayers series. I hope they do for continuity reasons. I gave them all the voice actors and actresses who did the other 3 series who were main characters. Hi, I know that you probably heard this every fan, but I gonna say it anyways, "I just love your songs." It's been about four months since I've ordered the "Blue, Dressed In Black" CD and honestly, that's the only CD that I have been listening to everyday. It pleases so mush that your voice relaxes me, even on a stressful day. I love every song on that CD. Since I'm a musician, as well, I can appreciate such good music. A deceased aquantance of mine had a crush on Kiba from Yugioh. I think it was the dub version of him, which would have been your voice. (Did Kiba have a spanish accent too? Or was Meta Knight the only one to have such an accent?) I think it's funny that 4Kids would have you give such a serious character a Spanish/Italian accent.
