I worked with Dinah Glanz in the play "Where did Dapper Go"
about a catatonic unfulfilled artist who painted graffiti
on the statue of liberty...Dinah played "Urza" an ever youthful optimist who makes seamless changes in her life, facing multiple tragedys. I miss her and hope she is doing well. Please pass this note to her. I love you Dinah Thank you Gary Alan Brumley

How do you adequately thank the people who made such a remarkable impact in my life? Where do you start and how do you ensure you don't miss anyone? State Fair was an incredible journey from start to finish. Thank you so much to Bob and Connie who trusted me with the role of a lifetime. Thanks to my daughter, Christine, who let me takeover the spotlight for this brief time. I know she'll be standing smack in the middle of it in another OPCT production soon. Thanks to Ellen for making it so easy to create the chemistry necessary to make Abel and Melissa so believable. Megan and Nick, I feel like you're my own kids and I miss you both already. To all of the members of the cast, thanks for making this a very special summer for me. I will revel in your many successes. Please let me know when you're in a production so I can come and support you. THANKS!!!

I'm so glad to have been part of the OPCT "State Fair" cast. The show and its directors (Connie Senkowski and Bob Houston) get a 'blue ribbon' for a job well done. I hope for the opportunity to work again with the many talented people I had the great fortune of getting to know.

Christine:
Oh my gosh, State Fair wsa by far the best production I've ever been in out of all of the others I have done here. Thank you Connie Senkowski for putting on this show. If you hadn't i probably wouldn't have survived the summer. And I wouldn't have met so many good people either. State Fair will forever be a part of me.

We are going to schedule "A Dinner and A Show" for the last Thursday evening performance of each and every play for the next fourteen months or six plays.
This entails having Dinner at one of our area restaurants in the early evening and then attending the Show at our Theatre later that evening.
Once you know our schedule, make a note of the last Thursday's performance for that Play. Look on our Web Site for specific information or call the reservations hot line 276-2599 for more info.

Just putting out a note that the Hippodrome State Theatre is now accepting entries for the 2003 Florida Teen Playwright Festival. I would like to encourage all young writers to take a look at the requirements and see if they have what it takes to be the next Edward Albee or Paula Vogel.

FOOTPRINTS

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was
walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky
flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed
two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him
and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life before him, he
looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that
many times along the path of his life there was only
one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the
very lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD
about it. " LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,
You’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that
During the most troublesome times in my life, there is only
One set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed
You the most would leave me.

The LORD replied, " My precious, precious child, I love you
And would never leave you. During your times of trial and
Suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was
Then that I carried you.

I live in central Florida and my sister is in Wisconsin. I booked us a week in a condo on Jax Beach. I drove up and my sister flew in for a week of vacation. On our last Friday we caught the opening of your play. I had researched before coming to town what was playing at local theatres and your play had come up. We had a little bit of a hard time finding your facility but it was worth it.

We sat in the back row. We ate and drank the nibbles out front before the show. We were the ones bellowing with laughter at the butler. He made the whole show for us. To read in the bio that he wanted to be a behind the scenes person, I was shocked. He was wonderful and should pursue further parts. When he lost it and tried not to laugh is when my sister and I lost it. Then when he came out in the pink ensemble complete with hair bonnet and slippers we were just about in the aisle.

Thank you everyone for a great evening.

A big thanks to Michelle Nugent and Lindsay Corry for the summer children's workshop this year. My daughter, Caitlin participated for the first time and she was a lttle concerned it might be like daycare or have too many young children. She had a wonderful time, made many friends and the show at the end (There's No Business Like Show Business!)was really well done considering the varied ages, experience levels and weather! Again, thanks for a great job!

I would like to let the entire cast, crew and Bob Wilson know that is has been an honor to be a part of THE MUSIC MAN. This is one of the best cast that I have worked with in theatre. The talent in this musical is right up there with some of the professional shows that come to Jacksonville. Orange Park should be proud of what they have in a community theatre.
