Some bad moments of anxiety there...Teva has plenty of reason to hate Karsites---it seems most Companions can't remember their past lives unless under exceptional circumstances... also glad to see Alex and Samyel are getting together. Now please don't kill one of them off! Still some questions to be answered, such as who spiked the feed with Black angel mushrooms, and will that be your next chapter? Waiting to read more Kr'ra'

You've done some good detail work too i.e., where the folk of Haven step aside for Companions, and how Teva has a only a limited tolerance for children (they're sticky), and other things like that.
