Comments:Although I am a little late into this, I tried it this morning Nov.17,2008 and enjoyed it very much. The directions and guidelines on this website is very good. I have been to the New Brunswick one a few years ago but this one is just so close as I live in Mississauga. Great job on the website. Thank you.

Comments:Visited this place on March 24th 2007 after hearing so much about it. A total anti-climax! There is no optical illusion or hill to climb. You are actually going downhill, period. I generally maintain a very open mind about any such things but am a tough nut to crack. The moment we stopped at the hydro sign I knew we were going to go downhill, the slope is clearly discernible and I cannot for the life of me how anyone can ever see it otherwise!? Why would people create such hype and stories around this, beats me. It seems like a lame attempt to put Burlington on the map.

Comments:Hi! During bad thunderstorms I have seen, on many ocassions, blue-green light phenonemon shine up to the clouds just like lightning but from ground up. It occurs in the same vicinity as Magnetic Hill. I did not know what it was at first but with the reminder of "Magnetic Hill", it all makes sense. Being a storm watcher, I can say it doesn't happen all the time. It seems that the more violent the storm the more likely these lights will occur. Thanks.

Comments:Thank you so much for posting this link on "Magnetic Hill"! I totally grew up in Milton, spending much of my time, employment and even high school years in Burlington, yet I've NEVER heard about this scientific blunder. I just saw a clip on CREEPY CANADA (TV) but they did not disclose too much about instructions or location. I think I'll grab my friends and head for the hill this week.....'course I'm not going to tell them the story first or what we're doing :-) Anyway, I'll be safe and take my percautions, as advised. Thanks again! Shawn

Comments:Hi there: I remember as kids my parents taking us to this hill when we were around 8 or 9 years old. All through the years as we got older, my mom and us tried to find this magnetic hill but she could not remember where it was. When we were there that's what they did, put the car in neutral and away we went. It was great. I just kind of forgot about it until one day my husband mentioned a magnetic hill from a coworker and said there was one near Burlington, boy was this a nostaglic moment. Hopefully one day this summer my husband and family will make this trek to magnetic hill, and to feel like a kid again. Thanks for letting me share.

Comments:I have tavelled that section of King road several times and have never known it was a magnetic hill. I have lived in Burlington for 30 years now and this is the first I have heard of it. I was watching a program on Creepy Canada (on the outdoor channel 75) and it was about ghost in the area and people that have died in that area. I am going to take a ride up there tomorrow and find out about it and try it out.

Comments: I just wanted to let you guys (who ever you guys are), that i've now been on three of these magnetic-magical-mystery, hills and i just thought that i would let you know a few things first there is one in Thailand were i am right now it's in Mae Sot close to the Burma border, there's another in Mexico in the city of Calima in think that's how you spell it, this one is very close to a acctive volcano, and the third is in B.C. canada although i don't remember what city if i do find out though i will let you know. The best one that i saw was the one in Mexico where a friend and myself got out and tried everything to figure it out, runniing up the hill felt as though we we're actually going down,we also tried water on the road again up it went,a spare tire also went up.we tried taking measurments of the tree line we lied down on the road and it was also a really big one the cars got up to about 80-90km it was crazy if there's anything that you know that i don't it would be nice to have a bit more info so mail me if you can. Comments:It's strange, almost weird, that Brant County (surrounding Brantford) Ontario, Canada should have five magnetic hills. Sure, there is one in Burlington, one outside of St. Thomas, Ontario, one in Eastern Ontario, and a few others (one I found south of Collingwood); but why five all so close together? Could there be dozens and dozens of undiscovered magnetic hills in this part of south-western Ontario?

Comments:Was on this hill in the early 1960's before it became popular. Attended Aldershot High and lived at 521 Anne St. Back then there was not much known about the hill, but friends in the Aldershot area were familiar with the hill. Good to see a website with some news on the "hill"

Comments:Hi Mark, I was raised in Burlington in the 40’s & 50’s and remember driving to the hill in probably about 1955 - 1960. From your pictures, it looks like it hasn’t changed a whole lot in 45 years. Now I live in Lutes Mountain, just outside Moncton, about 3 minutes from the Moncton Magnetic Hill. I drive by the hill everyday on my way to work. I have had a few Ontario visitors to the Moncton hill and told them they have their own hill in Burlington, but couldn’t remember exactly where it was located, so I was glad to find your web site. I will forward it to my Ontario friends. I found out about your site from an article in Moncton’s Times & Transcript newspaper today. The Moncton hill is now part of the Magnetic Hill theme park and zoo. Most local people go for the water slides and zoo, not the hill. This year they are charging $5.00 to let you coast ‘up’ the hill in your car!!! Personally, I think that is a bit much. PS. My Dad & grandfather used to have a farm in Burlington just off Brant Street, south of the QE. At the end of Prospect Street, you will find Graham’s Lane that was named after them.

Comments:We found this link on the internet and it brought back childhood memories of exploring the magnetic hill. As kids it always facinated us and kept us coming back for more visits, esp. once we got our licenses! We are now living in Australia and have found out that there is also a magnetic hill here, but it is too far for us to visit. So we will have to imagine if it is as good as the Burlington magnetic hill!! If our childhood memories are correct, then it's highly unlikely!! If you haven't been to visit the hill you are missing out on a wonderful treat!

Comments:Back in the summer of 1941, it seemed the thing to do on the week-end to check out this magnetic hill on King Road. I was working with a Stelco fence gang out of Canada Works that summer and for a couple of weeks we had a chain link fence job on the outskirts Of Toronto. One day on the way to this job-site we took a diversion to check out this "magnetic hill" with our surveying instruments. We found that the spot being claimed magnetic and drawing cars uphill had a downhill grade dropping about 12 inches. Our instruments didn't lie. Going uphill was just an illusion.
