both great underappreciated bands with some common threads. Screw teaming up with a mainstream band...who needs that radio-friendly overplayed crap anyway (IE Trent Reznor, DMB). Another thing...I don't care if the new BTE album has only been out a week...I WANT SOME LYRICS!!! |

just fine on their own...and as far as how they would sound with another band? i just can't hear it...nothing is quite like Better than Ezra...that's what makes them so great, isn't it? I just don't know...when I listen to Better than Ezra it's like coming home to me...I haven't even found that with any other band..and if they were mixed with someone else I would only see it as a distraction, and I don't want to be distracted from what they've got...stand on their own is what i say...*shruggrin* maybe i've just got it bad.... |

| Answer: | Better Than Ezra needs to collaborate with Paul McCartney on their next album. They should let him play piano, keyboards and sing backup vocals on a few tracks. This will give BTE two aspects to their songs that they haven't used. I also think that their styles of varied types of songs is very similar, and just imagine how well the album would sell. It would be magical. |

| Answer: | I think BTE and the DMB have a lot of soul and energy and both are outstanding live. They both get the crowd involved and exhausted by shows end. They should collabrate their efforts into a tour and maybe some songs. Dave and Kevin write in tune with one another. Check the albums similar thoughts, emotional highs and lows and refrains - all over the place. Both of these bands have a great deal to offer and both fascinate me into near obsession. Their music grips one and makes the listener involved and understanding what is going on at the same time. I just crave these bands. |

| Answer: | I think BTE should do an album with Gin Blossoms. They have similar approaches to music and as the "Conspiracies" section of this page shows, much in common. Also, Sting should write lyrics for a song for BTE to play. I personally feel he is the best songwriter of his time, and it would be interesting to see his words combined with BTE's style of music. |

I am quite surprised to see how many Toad the Wet Sprocket and BTE collaborationists there are out there in Cyberland. I thought for sure no one would mention Toad and BTE in the same sentence -- but you showed me! Unquestionably, Toad and BTE are my two favorite bands; however, they would not be my favourite choice for collaboration. Instead, does anyone remember a little Australian band back in the eighties called Men at Work? They did this nifty song called "Down Under". . . Now how much talent do you think would be present if Colin Hay from MAW and Kevin Griffin from BTE sat down to write a song together? You would have the creative hooks of "Who Can It Be Now" with the creative rock groove of "Teenager" rolled into one song. . . I'd buy the CD! Harlequin. |
