But why anger her fans and pay no respect to her character? The Lucky and Elizabeth storyline was one of General Hospital's best. So much more could be done with Liz instaed of involving her in this stupid Nik/Katherine story. I think Rebecca Herbst deserves better than that. I can honestly give a chance to Liz with another guy ONLY if Jonathan Jackson does not return. But I will never give a Nik/Liz so called "relationship" a chance. forget about Lucky? What about the "next supercouple" that was supposed to be GH's future? He put so much work into them and now he is just letting then be forgotton. I do know that Guza is only putting Liz and Nik together because he plans to bring in the Lucky recast (unless JJ wants to return) just after they get into a real relationship...can you say TRIANGLE? BTW, that shouldnt be the case b/c Liz should immediately return to Lucky and forget about Nik (in that way) as soon as she knows he's alive. Nikolas and Elizabeth pairing! These are both great characters, and I love them both,but they can't become a couple. It would just be wrong. Lucky is Elizabeth's one true love. The writers did such a excellent job of creating there beautiful love story and if Elizabeth were to be with Nikolas when Lucky returned,the two could never get back the pure,innocent,simple,honest,relationship that we all fell in love with. I mean yeah,in time they may get back together,but things would never br the same. Lucky would never be able to look at Elizabeth,or Nikolas for that mateter in the same way ever again. Becoming best friends I can see, and that would be a great storyline especially when Lucky returns. But if you create a storyline of Nikoals and Liz getting together it only causes more heart ache for everyone. Fans and characters. Think about it; Lucky helped Liz through the hardest most dark part of her life. They shared a love so pure and innocent that there is no way that you can loose those feelings. Then theres the fact that Nikolas is Lucky's older brother. Granted that they just met and didn't get along very well until they were forced to work together for Emily's sake, it's still would be cold on Nikolas' part. The fact is that Nikolas' growing respect for Lucky should continue to grow now diminish. Then theres Emily. She may be interested in Juan right now, but soon that has to change. A crush can't go away that quickly. Nikolas and Liz's realtionship should flurish I believe, but not into the romantic type. Instead in to the type of trust understanding. and Lucky together. That's why it is so difficult for me to accept the fact that GH is heading towards a romantic pairing of Liz and Nikolas. In my opinion, this is just wrong. For one, Lucky just "died". It hasn't been even 3 months since his supposed death and already the writers over at GH has decided to force a CHEMISRTYLESS pairing of Liz and Nik. Secondly, Nik is Lucky's brother. I realize, hooking up romances between the boyfriend or girlfriend of a dead character with the dead character's relative is a total soap cliche....but somehow I thought GH was above that. I also think this story is wrong because of the fact that I would love to see Rebecca Herbst lead her OWN storyline. The writers have not even allowed the girl time to greive the love of her life and already they are throwing her into a new romance! Can we please say CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT here! It seems every female character must be hanging on the arm of some man to be interesting! Liz is a very complex character, I'd love to see her delve into the troubled relationship she apparently had with her parents, or even see her go into a depression storyline. involving Nikolas Cassadine and Elizabeth Webber. I realize that Jonathan Jackson is not on the show right now and that Lucky can't be with Elizabeth, however, I feel it is a dishonoring of both JJ/Lucky's memory and of the fans at large to even hint that Nik and Liz could be involved romantically. Elizabeth should not even be involved in any kind of a relationship with a man for several months, she thinks she's lost her soulmate, she should mourn him properly, then move on with someone completely new. If she moves on with Nik, he will always be second best, and Nik deserves someone who can love him freely without the shadow of his brother hanging over him. There are only two things that will ever make me stop watching GH. The first is if the role of Lucky Spencer is recast and the second is if Elizabeth is paired with Nikolas. In the event that either or both of these occur, GH will have lost a 25 year viewer and I guarantee I won't be the only one.
