my elbows are in love with me again! haha.
green tea sugar scrub and body butter, fig sugar scrub and bronzing body butter-- i just love them. these scents are perfect for an L.A. summer. light and refreshing without overpowering. i love that my skin completely absorbs the bronzing butter and that it doesn't stain my clothes or sheets.
i use the ginger mojito scrub bar with my body gloves and i can almost see my skin glowing.
the chai shower gel was too strong for my SO, so i use it. i layer it with either of the sugar scrubs and top it off with the green tea body butter. it smells great. and i feel great!
i can tell the slight change in formula, but it still works its magic.

thanks!

I ordered the Well Groomed Basket for the SO for Valentine's Day. Even though the scents (Fresh and Fig) are 'male inspired,' I found them to be just a clean fresh smell, and will be using his products.

The products were wonderful and I am glad I made the purchase!

I hate shaving my legs because it irritates my skin so much but being on a budget has made waxing a luxury. So this time before shaving i decided to exfoliate with my Chocolate Truffle Body Polish first. OH MY GOD it made for a smooth shave afterwards with no irritation at all. Thank you Rum and Cake!

I recently received the Nag Champa shower gel and body oil. Now previously, I had only purchased the Chai Spice body oil, and it was effective; however, when I upgraded to both the oil AND gel combo, it was an upgrade of epic proportions. I got compliments from the ladies, and they were sure it was cologne. I said no my sisTAH..this is rum and cake..

First I must say that I have VERY sensitive AND Dry skin. My Rum and Cake products arrived and everything smelled so good. I haven't been so excited to take a shower in awhile. I had to resist the urge to try everything at one time. What I did use:
The Exfoliating Bar Soap in Spice (mmmmmmm...) wonderful
A little of the body paste (equally wonderful)
followed up by the Body oil and Body Whip (which smells like frosting) which I like...
What can I say? Love it! I did not break out and my skin feels so soft and my husband said "mmmm, baby you smell and feel so good" I can't ask for more.
I just recieved my package and I am re-ordering the larger sizes today..

Thank you for you great products!

My skin is singing right now! I got 2 body sticks and 1 body butter. I love the smell and how it lasts all day. It's light and makes my skin so soft. It gives it that sheen I love from moisturizers. I'm a lotion aficionado & I must confess these are the best I've used in a while. I also got the clay and mango shower gels, I was quite surprised at how well they lathered. As a sample, I received a nice scrub that smells so good and the wake up soap bar and it does that exactly.

I'm very pleased with the product and I hope to put more people on to it.

Rum and Cake: The first thing is that the smell of Rum and Cake products are wonderful. Very silky in the bath and shower as well. It rinses well and my skin felt soft and clean after using the bath and shower salts. I love that it's a natural product, that it is scented with pure essential oils. My friends say that love to sit next to me during meetings because they love how delicious I smell!

my holiday gift basket is great!
tropical margarita, appletini, rum punch...
i feel like i need to be on an island somewhere.
yum.

i tried the appletini exfoliating milk last night. it's a little harsher than i'm used to and the scent is not as strong as i normally like, but i noticed smoother skin immediately, even before rinsing it all off. i then used the appletini body oil before going to bed. it's not too candy-smelling, which i like. i enjoy smelling sweet but don't want to smell like a high-schooler just discovering pear glace' from VS.

i'm sure i've said this before, but that's what appeals to me so much about rum and cake-- strong, lasting scents that are not overpowering. and the scrubs always produce instant results. i want to use them everyday, but when i'm late for work in the morning, i don't have time to wash the tub out b/c they can leave a slippery residue and i don't want my s.o. or my cat busting their butts in the tub.

i'm using the tropical margarita body stick at work, and i can't stop sniffing my hands. i almost want to eat them.

thanks, rum and cake! :D

I purchased some gift baskets recently for my mother and she loved them. The baskets were packaged stylishly and contained a nice mix of products including scrubs, body butters, and oils. My mom raved about the products and has already recommended them to friends.

I also purchased the Fresh scented shower gel and body gel, and the Wake Up! scented exfoliating milk for myself. I was impressed with the packaging and quality of the products, and I am especially fond of the Wake Up! scent (it does just that for me during those early mornings). Keep up the good work, Faye.

I love the way the shower gel gets you clean without leaving your skin dry and filmy like regular soaps.
The Tahitian Vanilla Body Whip is decadent. I don't know whether to smoothe it on or eat it!
It keeps me moisturized for the whole day, I don't have to re-apply at all. I found my new favorite products!

I must Rum and Cake has converted me to "smell good" products. I was never a big fan of scented products because of allergies and how they can be so overpowering.

However I took a chance. The Chai Spice lotion is probably the best scented product I've ever smelled. I love the way I smell but not everyone in the office can smell me coming. However, I just want to curl up in bed instead of going to work :)

p.s. The people who recieved gifts were scared to open their gifts because they did not recgonize your name. So you should add your company name or a sticker that indicates that it's a gift! I'll ask them to post comments as well.

i am loving the green tea sugar scrub and body balm i just got yesterday.

i think my favorite aspect of the rum and cake like is that the scents are subtle yet provocative.
they are strong enough for a fresh kind of intimacy but not overpowering to fill an entire room.

i think i like the sugar scrubs better than the salt. they seem less slippery in the shower and produce quicker, longer results. i can't stop touching my elbows! lol

i asked for a spray pump for the scalp and body oil because i have braids right now and still wanted to use the product, but it squirts more than sprays-- a long stream of oil. that might be because of the consistency of the product, but i'm not sure. i was looking at more of a mist, but i think the mix master is working on that.

i didn't like the smell of the aunt flo bath salts so i used it in my foot bath instead of my actual bath, and i liked the way it made my feet feel almost instantly soft. it smelled a bit too medicinal for me.

i also received a sample candle from mickeymade-- lavendar.
yum!
it had my entire apartment smelling lovely for hours.
can't wait till the shopping party!

So I finally got my package in the mail and I was beside myself with joy. I love getting new things, especially if they make me look/feel/smell better.

The very first thing I tried was the Creme Brulee Bronzing Body Butter. I absolutely love everything about it. At first glance, it looks kinda dry, and I was skeptical, but it literally explodes into this moisture rich balm in your hands. The smell is so wonderful, and the subtle bronzing glow is perfect. I've been trying to definitely hold onto the lil' bit of sample by only using it on my shoulders and chest area, where it can be seen :)

Also, before I rave about anything else, everything smells WONDERFUL. I mean, good enough to take out of the oven and eat, wonderful.

The next two things I tried were the salt scrub, and the exfoliating milk. They were PERFECT when they arrived also because due to not so recent bikini waxing, and just day to day activity, it was definitely time to exfoliate. I used the Spice Cake Scrub, but I'm not sure exactly what kind of scrub it was because in the shower I got the label all wet and I can't see it anymore. Either way, it moisturized, as well as kinda gave my skin that once over to make it nice and fresh. I have a skin condition thats kind of like eczema, so its important for everything to smooth away dead skin, but replace moisture, and this was perfect. The Vanilla Exfoliating Milk was amazing. I think I love it because I love to feel like I smell good and have a nice scent, but I also like feeling CLEAN. I used this all over (even on my feet, which feel great) and I just love it. I'm trying to conserve this until I can order too!

I used the Hair and Scalp Oil and it was great because it offered a moisturized scalp, minus stringy greasy hair that usually tags along, the light citrus smell was nice too, not overpowering.

I haven't used the Amaretto Body Oil much, because I really like the smell and I think if I use it and like it I won't be able to open the little cap and sniff it from time to time. Did I say I loved how everything smelled?

I think you have a great line, and I would love to own big people sizes of these products.

i was so happy i recieved my package this morning.. i actually just ran out of my usual body gel.

I liked the vanilla musk exfoliating milk. I think it's great for women who like a more neutral smell, as opposed to the fruit or floral based one. It simply smells fresh, i actually just realized its a him & tonic scent..which makes sense given my description thus far. I like that it was grainy but also spread well. I didn't have to use much to cover the bases.
And it smells fantastic..like good enough to eat.

Next was sugar scrub in sensuality. I'm gonna have to put some stock into that shit. I've been smelling myself all day. But besides the smell i was super impressed that not only did it obviously exfoliate, i noticed little moisture beads like you get when you use oil in the shower.. so i decided to rub it in and go without lotion. im still smooth and not ashy, so basically..i love this shit.
im gonna get my debit card back just to get some.

next was the creme brulee bronzing butter. it smells delicious! i was a bit apprehensive about using it though, since it's a rich bronze and i was afraid it may make me look 2 toned. but once i rubbed it in i realized it actually enhanced my own color and made me shiny but not greasy. awesome.

i also realized that using a bit on my cheeks works great as a blush. lighter undertoned women..you oughtta try it.

thanks so much for this stuff
im gonna recommend it to all of my carols daughter fan friends/family. this stuff is a shit load better.

I just used my sugar scrub last night. Unfortunately, the sticker pelled off, so I'm not sure off it's exact name. When I first received my samples, I was very hesitant of using them, especially the sugar scrub. Once the scrub is on your skin though, it's an absolute joy.

I am thorougly pleased with it. I can say, without exaggeration, my skin felt smoother and smelled like a daydream.

I havent used the foot soa or the mint julep scub yet, but as soon as I do I'll be bakc to comment.

Great product.

oh boy.
i go through the chocolate decadence body scrub like it's water. i'm on my third jar now.
i also have the body butter for choc.dec. and the peach cobbler body butter. yum yum yum. every time i wear it, someone tells me how good i smell. the other day, someone asked me if i'd been eating cotton candy. my only issue is that it is kinda heavy. my honeysweetiebooboo was turned off by the greasy feel at first and wouldn't touch me until after my skin had absorbed more of it.

the hair and scalp oil is great. it's light enough that i can apply it almost everyday, and it doesn't make my forehead break out like some oils do in the summer. i wear my hair in a short, natural 'fro and it makes my wave and curl like i like. it's lightly scented, too, so as not to clash with any other scents i might be wearing.

the mango bronzing body butter is great. at first, i was skeptical b/c i don't like sparkling or shimmying lotions, but the shine is very subtle. i think i said this before, but it would be perfect for a candle-lit date. and it smells divine. it blends it very well and doesn't rub off.

i'm very pleased with all the products i've tried so far. i'm already planning my next purchase.

thanks so much!

I bet you weren't expecting this response huh...all 4 weeks late. Okay...I've tried the Wake Up! Salt scrub. I used it after showering a couple mornings ago and over all the experience was good. However I htought I smelled pickle which might of been dill, if you put it in the scrub. I wasn't too fond of that smell but that may be because I'm a guy. However the oils and salt made my skin feel extremely soft. Big thumbs up for that. So the dill/pickle smell is the only complaint as it was a strong smell.

EDITOR'S NOTE:
there is no dill in the product
the top notes are spearmint and peppermint
the herb you may be smelling is marjoram which an antioxidant and good for sprains and pains.

i just finished using the Mojiti Shower Scrub.

it's hot & muggy in NY today (as always), so there's no need for a lot of lotions & such. so the dilemma is how to cool off but still get that moisture w/out slathering on a layer of lotion.

Mojito is PERFECT! the ginger, mint (?) and sugar has a VERY refreshing scent - what else is in there? an ingredients list would be good on the packaging & since it goes in the shower w/ me & gets wet, maybe the label should be laminated. anyway, the kicker for me is the light layer of moisturizing oils. i only need put a little baby oil on afterward (cuz i like to be greasy) and i'm good for the day.

now, i LOVE LOVE LOVE the Breakfast Blend. the coffe in the morning is fantastic. i do wish it was a teeny bit less chunky because the granules fall off of me because they are so heavy, so i wind up using more to replace what falls off. but the scent is amazing & i like the light moisturizer there too.

both would still be great w/ a little more moisture (oil maybe?) but not too much.

thanks! and my boyfriend LOVES the way i smelled after using the Mojito. it's a light, fresh scent that's EXCELLENT for the summer - smells green!

As person who spends a lot of money on going to spas and buying products I have to say these products are top notch. I've tried the breakfast blend scrub, sexy cinnamon sugar scrub, and the bronzing mango body butter. THe breakfast blend has a wonderful coffee scent with a myriad scrub grains and wakes you up and moisturizes you. I'm not a fan of cinnamon things at all but the Sexy Cinnamon scurb is very light and doesn't make you smell like an altoid. Last the bronzing body butter does what it says "It will make you glow". It is perfect for those summer night events where you want to look delicous. I highly recommend all the products.

I recently delighted in the Appletini salt scrub. I have NEVER used a body scrub that totally ensconced my body in softness while actually IN the shower. It should really be called a "soothe", because scrub sounds too harsh for how your body actually feels afterwards. Great scent, great stuff.

The Breakfast blend is Fantastic! I love the way it feels, it's not too harsh and the light scent is just right. The scent is so light I am not worried about layering with different fragrances (lotions and such). Same for the Tahitian Vanilla, I used it and after I dried off I didn't even need to further moisturize.

My sole suggestion is that the Appletini fragrance doesn't really smell like Apples to me.

I know you discontinued Aunt Flo's visit from the aromotherapy line but I liked it. I can't speak to it's efficacy but the scent was soothing and I liked the *look* of it.
