| Comments: | You saw me at the Amtrak Station on a dark night in Cleveland. Later on that day in DC, I told you your CD made me cry on the train (this is early that morning, before I woke up screaming what must have been a dozen times. I've never done acid but I've weathered worse trips than many folks who have).
It's funny Sue. I am as poor as Job's turkey literally--I live on SSI and Food Stamps amd I've had that damned CD in my head all week. It's beautiful, a lot of it is. Today I was walking around looking to pick up work shoveling snow and I got with this guy to earn $20 doing his driveway, and every time I thought, "Oh my God, my back is NOT going to do this, I am just going to have to tell him I'm sorry and I can't do it..." I would think of you singing about how every time you got kind of stuck you drank more coffee and I just went on until I was done. I didn't know what to do, you know, I needed the twenty bucks 'cos I had some bills to pay but I just didn't feel like I could make it. And I hope I don't sound crazy or stupid or nothin' but I wanted you to know that your song braced me up. It did. I wouldn't have been able to shovel that snow if I wouldn't of had your song. And it's funny because people always focus on folk music as protest music and what have you but if you go way way back to from where it came, it's the songs people sang when they worked and did hard, physical backbreaking labor and the hot sun would come and they would be sure they couldn't go on anymore but they sang the song and the song had power to keep them going. Your coffee song has power like that. Be honest and stay cool. |

| Comments: | I went on a search for "folkpunk" and click on your site. I read through many of these posted comments and was amused. "FBIrecords"? I only seen that among the comments. maybe I should search for that keyword to learn somthing about your music, I,ve seen nothing here.
Why did you choose these two colors? were you aware they are opposite of one another. I use these 2 colors together often, actually yellow green the average hue of plant chloriphill and red violet, which is another color pigment also present in most plants. But over all less abundant, used as a sun screen I believe. It also seems to me to be an artistic balance of color. ballanced on the meredium of our macro-relm of present natural world colors if blue is on top of the color wheel. Which would put blue and orange opposing the axis. fitting neatly with this theory, I conceptualize light blue on top (sky) and dark orange on bottom (earth). and any other color can be ballanced symetrically red with yellow, green with purple an so on. |
