I never had the honor of meeting Kevin but I wish the same for his family as everyone does; peace of mind and only the best of memories.
I've become friends with Kevin's nephew and also read the Firehouse book and through this I realize what a wonderful man he was and what a tremendous loss it is for his loved ones to not have him here.
My prayers and admiration to Kevin's family and friends.. may God bless all of your lives. |

I'm Kevin's Godfather and uncle ("Uncle Mike). It's five years now since the attack, and Kevin is missed by his family and friends more than ever. Many thanks for the website, and for keeping Kevin's memory -- and those of his fallen firefighter brothers -- alive. May God watch over the Cavemen. |

To the family of MR. Bracken and his friends. I would like to say I give you each a prayer each day and think of your fallen hero often. I was a Red Cross volunteer and attended Kevin's services. I joined the US Army when I left the City to come back home. I am in the militarybecause of those events and I have told my Wife and Kids about Mr. Bracken several times. When the movie came out I took my children and wife to see it. We all cried and thought of all those lost on that day. I wanted to let you know that a family here in TN pray's for you up in heaven and your family here on earth.
To a Hero I send this salute!

I am a Fire Fighter in Alberta, Canada. The barbaric events of 9-11 seem distant, yet so close as I close my eyes and play back the video of the towers collapsing onto so many of my Brothers. I too will NEVER forget no matter what! I am humbled by the dedication of my Brothers as they performed their duties to save lives that were unsaveable and perish themselves in the process. I did not know a single one of you but when I saw you die I cried for you and prayed that all of you be carried home by the hand of our true and living God. May God bless your families, and your home. Revenge is mine says the Lord, so lets continue to serve those less fortunate the best way we know how and thank God for our freedom to choose forgiveness over hatred! |

Although it has been a long time, my heart still goes out to the family and frind of the fallen Heroes. They are in my prayers.
Just remember that there is no greater gift to give than you own life for a fellow human. I can assure you all there that these heroes are looking down at you from heaven.

My heart goes out to your family and friends it must have been really hard for them, especially if you had children. I have a 4 yr. old and to just imagine not to be there for him it breaks my heart! I know the family will never get over your death, but you died to save other peoples lives! Now that is amazing and it takes alot of courage! I hope somebody gets this e-mail an knows how really sorry I am for the way you had to leave this world. |

Kevin, thank you for doing what you lived. You knew the danger, the calculated risk. You willingly took it and saved an untold number. There is no finer tribute than those who still walk because of your actions. Thank you, brother. |

Today on the 2nd anniversary of your death, i'm sitting in my office in portland oregon, thinking about what happened that day and decided to say thank you to one of the fallen heroes of that day.
If your friends and family read this, know that your sacrifice wasn't in vain, and is remembered with heartfelt thanks.
