Iraq posed no threat to us while Iran and Syria had everything President Bush was looking for that were never found in Iraq. I have one relative in NYC, pretty wealthy nice apartment 86th floor. On the balcony she could look left and see the towers and right and see the empire state building. Every day she saw that while she had coffee before work. I dont live in NYC but I am there most of the time, Im rarely home with work and all. I do work in NYC but I chose not to live under the NYC conditions. But 9/11 I wasn't in NYC I was upstate nyc and I hadnt heard what happend yet it was 5 PM I was walking in my house with bags in each hand I turned to the living room and deactivated my house alarm and I saw in the reflection of the alarm monitor the buildings falling from my tv that was left on all day. Everything hit the floor, I shattered more glass that day then you could imagine. Vases , picture frams, all glass things is what I had. I dropped everything, my car keys, bags, and I slowly turned around and saw that. Three weeks previous I was in those buildings for the very first time. All my lifei n NYC and it hit me that I never was in both towers so I did both of them 3 weeks before. I saw that on the tv and I just stood there staring. MY mother and Father went on down in October to see the mess and they took pictures. Its now 2004 and I have YET! To look at those pics. I didnt shed one tear of anger or hurt until September 11, 2002. I have no idea why, I was still in shock but when I saw the 02' memorial I let some out. Then I finally went down just a month ago to see what those rats did to NYC and I sat there for hours and just stared. I'm still hurt and so is NYC just go to that site and look at the people around still standing there crying. You can tell its not been forgotton and it never should be. If you dont get choked up just walking by, then something is wrong. Because I cant and a lot of other New Yorkers dont just walk by and feel nothing. This website speaks the truth, its great. It will never be forgotton. And to all 20 of my friends who joinmed the US ARMY and the other 7 that joined the US MARINES and are fighting in IRAQ GOD BLESS YOU ALL ! May God Bless them all, and anyone who is anti awar just remember ... the Marines and Army fighting is why you can wave your little signs!

I love NYC and the USA. The clip of the Blood of Heroes is great. I have viewed it several times and remember the tragedy and the days following. I think this clip should be left as is but I'd like to see a follow up clip made. Could you please make something that shows us about the "occupation. (Remember "Mission Accomplished was already declared). How about a limbless, burned dead children after a bomb has been dropped on their home. Or a grown man crying in the streets because his home is gone. Maybe one of soliders stroming into a home making the family line up. Please include some coffins of our fallen heroes of war drapped with the flags or better yet just have the body bags viewed. Three years ago today reality hit America very hard. I can still remember exactly how I felt that morning, watching the towers get hit, and eventually fall, the fear and awe when the plane hit the Pentagon where my uncle just left 2 months earlier, and the sheer as my classmates and I watched the news coverage in Somerset, less than 100 miles from our homes. The patriotism, kindness, and generosity that Americans felt after that day has seemed to diminish as people tend to forget what happened to our country. This tribute to those ordinary people who became heroes that day is something that every American should watch. The graphic nature of the pictures should not be an issue...it's reality...we all need to face it. Thank you for making this tribute and helping us all remember the powerful feelings that came over us that September morning and to never forget "the blood of heroes".

Tomorrow will be the 3 year anniversary of a day I will never forget. Waking up, turning on the news to start the day as I do every other and seeing the first tower in flames..thinking, did a pilot screw-up was someone on a suicude mission...then the 2nd plane...instantly I knew what was going on, I quickly woke up my fiance in the other room and we sat and watched in horror. I later went to the offive were everyone was sitting around a TV..watching in horror. I remember driving down a main street in the town I live in (just outside of Dallas) for several days there was a man about my age (30) waving a huge american flag..he was there for days. Everyone was a little nicer, getting to work in rush hour was a little easier, people would let you go infront of them, everyone would hold doors open for you....I remember saying..its a shame something like this has to happen to bring out the best in people...

I just wanted to say thank you to those who were in the tradgec event that happend nearly three years ago when i was in the seventh grade i am in california and it affected us greatly i remember going to math class and my teacher was crying in sorrow of the 9-11-2001. So i just wanted say thank you to the rescue teams that were there threating there lives to rescue people they dont even know and i just wanted to say that these rescue people are the true heros of the U.S what they did helped us all out very much so i just wanted to say thank you very much. My class in Murrieta, California my history class to be more specific we were watching a slide show on the ragec events that ouccord to the New York area. This is a very moving and beautiful tribute. I saved it on my computer and will watch from time to time. It never fails to give me goosebumps and brings tears to my eyes. I think a lot of Americans have forgotten. I remember how patriotic everyone was in the days following 9/11, but that didn't last long. As a NYer, I worked in the city for 26 yrs. The World Trade Center was always a meeting place for my coworker and myself. We were there for the first bombing, which we thought was a crime! 9/11 just devastated me! I was retired by then. This page is a very good minder. Its funny how people do forget the tragedies that happen to us. Proof of the matter is how a lot of people are reacting to what our President is doing so it may never happen again. People critize him, curse him and even work against what is being done for those who lost their lives and to their families and us. Yes, let us NOT forget or we might get another bigger reminder. God forbid. God bless our nation and our people and especially those who loss someone on 9/11 and in Iraq.

To read the comments and to know that there are still many people out there who never forget. I am the President of the Ladies Auxiliary of a Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and believe me....too often things are forgotten. When 9-11 first happened our Post received numerous phone calls requesting flags and wanting to know what they could do to help. What happened? Where is that patriotic spirit now. Our Post conducted a P.O.W./M.I.A ceremony which was open to the public. do you think we had a large crowd? Ladies and gentlement I urge you, always remember the sacrifices that tragedies like 9-11 cost this country. We have thousands of men/women who have not made it home and yet....we forget. When you remember 9-11, remember the firemen and policemen who were there at a moments notice and stayed for days on end. And God Bless them for their never ending efforts to save one more life. Never forget them and when you see them in the grocery store on on the street....Stop...take a minute and say thank you and mean it...You never know when the evils of mankind are going to pop up and for that reason our men/women are putting themselves in eminent danger every single day. What about our troops...are they forgotten. The holidays are coming. There are many things that you can do just to say you care. Find a local VFW, American Legion, AM Vets or DAV and ask how you can help. It is because of the continued sacrifices of these men and women that we have not had another tragedy like 9-11 befall this great nation. Never forget our heroes and the jobs they do everyday with out thoughts to their own safety. God Bless You, God Bless our firemen/policemen/EMTs and God Bless America and the men and women who have fought and continue to fight to keep her free. Let them all know WE AS AMERICANS CARE!!
