| Comments: | You're watching hentai anime at your age, kid? What about
all the nice American animation done in the 1940s and 1950s? There are a lot of great Warner Bros., Fleischer, Disney, and MGM cartoons that have superior artwork and are better ANIMATED. (And granted, if you're as sick-minded as you allude to you on the website, you'll see plenty of sexual in-jokes in these toons -- especially the Fleischer and WB stuff fo the early 1940s!) I find as a film student that a lot of anime is just simply camera angles, close-ups, and pans with VERY little animation (multiple drawings) involved. There is great artistic technique involved in the drawing of SOME anime (the OVAs and movies), but the actual ANIMATION (flow of action) of anime stinks for 95% of it... They obviously have very limited budgets and the movement 85% of the time isn't very lifelike. That said, it's no wonder 93% of the time the Japanese/Korean studios spend their time on the color and line details of the drawings. I'm not meaning to rip on you, but there is another world of GREAT animation out there other than anime. Don't go by what's on TV (HATE Pokemon, btw -- it's more than obvious it's an ad for very annoying, IMHO, virtual games for people that don't have a REAL life) or currently at the movies. Study the past art -- you'll find there's plenty of good things from decades past that just don't get shown much on TV any more... Other than that, keep up the good art! Don't give it up even if you decide to pursue a professional career in biology. |
