I have own 2 fiberfab GT12 Avengers, One built on a VW chassis running a 110 HP Corvair motor on the VW Transmission. This was the 3 pc body with the 1 pc side windows. This car could start from 1,2,or 3 gear from a dead start. Was a very quick car. Also I own a 2nd one, 3 pc body with the special frame for a corvair engine & transmission. This one had a 185hp corvair turbo which had been convert to a 750 hollie ram induction with isky cam and doulble vaule spring. Never finish this car, sold it after moving it three times in pieces.

Hi. I have a type A Aztec 7 that I am restoring from the frame up. I've owned it since 1999. Just recently, I purchased a new windshield. It is true that the windshields cost $2000.00 . I would like to send pictures. Could you give me an address to send them to. Thanks George

I have a 66 Caribee, its on a shortened Vette frame,it is set up for SCCA racing with full cage and extensive modifications. It is powered by a 462 cu.in. BB Chevy w/manual gearbox and 3.70 ind.rear.I have owned it for about 25 years and drive it on the street.I really like the fact that they are so rare and I enjoy listening to guys argueing over what kind of car it is at the shows.I am happy to share info with other Caribee owners,I would like to know how many were made and are still around.

I bought a GT 40 which is in an ad in Oct 67 ROAD & TRACK. I am trying to restore it. I am told it was built as a show car for Stewart Warner. Which would account for the big SW on the side. Anyone who can help me get documentation or info on this car, I would sure appreciate it. I was told in 67 it appeared in a feature in Hot Rod. Still meeting a dead end. I also need to find a right headlight cover. Joe

I purchased a new 1969 GT12 kit powered it with a 200hp corvair turbo engine (not stock)After destroying the motor mounts twice I decided it would not work. After three rebuilds the final form is on a custom tube frame similar to the 2004 version but with a 94 inch wheelbase rack and pinion steering. Engine is a small block chevy with 1965 corvett FI on Angle plug heads. Transmission is Custom one of a kind Sagnagaw gears corvair ring and pinion with crown 4 spyder diff. Halabrand quick change gearset. all in aluminum case all gears turn in correct direction with rearend between engine and trans.
Very fast from 50 to 120 passing 5 cars. 1/4 mile high 11's weighs 2200 lb dry

I have just bought a 1975 Bonito(not to many of these in the USA)sitting on a 1965 VW pan that has a 1835cc dualport motor. My plan for this car is to make a street racer. I am building a 2400cc fuel injected turbo motor with a race tranny. Car is in pretty good shape has all glass, both doors open and shut, floor pans have been cut and lowerd 3" with plate steel. If any body has one of these or has any info please email me. Timothy Grandon Grand Island Ne.(308)384-6916

I just purchased what appears to be an Aztec 2 (has the one piece roof/door combo). Sadly it is missing all the glass and has not been on the road since 1981. I'd like to find out as much as I can about it including an assembly manual?? It's always hard to tell what the original assembly methods and details were since so many "kit cars" have been assembled by those not so mechanically inclined.... Any information would be welcomed.

I own a 1966 Avenger which my son And I built. We love the car and drive it extensively.
We re-engeneeried the frame by adding a sub-frame to the original 1974 vw pan. It works great and now a driver taller than 6' fits with room to spare. Thanks for creating this site Frank
