| Comments: | Rande, Just because you couldn't find Christ in the Catholic Church doesn't mean He's not there. The problem with Your faith, is yours alone. There are millions of Catholics who have found Christ, and have a very rich and full relationship with Him. I'm glad you did find Christ, but preaching hatred for other Christians is not the way Christ teaches. Mark 9:38-40 John said to Jesus, "Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he was not following us." But Jesus said, "Do not stop him; for no one who does a deed of power in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me. Whoever is not against us is for us." You say your sight is not about tolerance. This means that you are not about accepting people for their differences as Jesus did. He regularly associated with sinners rather than those who considered themselves holier than the rest. Who do you associate with? I will pray that God opens your eyes. You obviously have left over issues with your parents that you need to confront. |

| Comments: | I'm a 16 year old devout Catholic. Throughout the short years of my life, I have found a great interest in religions all over the world and religious study. I believe I truly have an open mind when it comes to differing opinions about my religion and others. When confronted of the "falsehoods" of the Catholic faith, I have come to answer every objection with this: Matthew 16:18; Jesus says: "You are Peter and on this rock I will build my community. And the gates of the underworld can never overpower it." Wouldn't you agree that Jesus, the Heavenly Father, had the power to foresee how his children will portray his Church? Of course he knew there would be doubts, but he assured Peter that whatever happens in the future will happen, but His community will remain true. He chose Peter to be the first Pope of the Holy Catholic, universal Church and lead it's people to everlasting salvation. Before you question the Church, remember what Jesus said. If Catholics truly believe what their religion dictates, then there is no way that they can be born-again, blood-bought, saved Christians, all of which are requirements for salvation -- according to the Catholic Bible.
