I saw your show a couple of weeks ago in York and just wanted to say it was absolutely excellent. I loved all of the songs but particularly like doo wop so highlights were definitely 'Little Orphan Girl', 'Love Came to Me', 'Dance Girl', 'Pledge of a Fool' and 'When'. Also as a big fan of Neil Sedaka it is always great to hear you do some of his songs. Unfortunately we had to leave just before the end to catch the last bus home(or we would have had 20 miles to walk) but that did not spoil the night, although I hope you do your brilliant version of Elvis' C'mon Everybody next time I see you. Also the cd and t-shirt offer you did during the break was a great bonus. You said that you had never performed in York before but please come back soon! North Yorkshire |

We thought we were in for a treat, as we saw an advertisement for a rock'n'roll club and on their gig list was the Firebirds on the 4th July. We thought you all were coming over to show Aust how it's really done. We think they don't have much of a clue over here, or we just havn't found the right bands as yet. Have been meaning to contact you for ages just to say thanks for the fantastic show you gave at Brighouse in October. It was absolutely brilliant. For me the highlights were hearing 'My One Desire', 'Pledge of a Fool', 'Little Orphan Girl', 'When' and hearing you do any Dion/Dion and the Belmonts song is always a treat. Also the Neil Sedaka medley was superb. As a big Neil Sedaka fan myself I don't think he gets the recognition he deserves and it was great to hear you do these songs. Although these were all great the best performance of all was of Elvis' 'C'mon Everybody'. It is a great song that isn't that well known but the way you three performed it was absolutely amazing. Also congratulations on the Doo Wop CD. I do have a slight preference for a lot of your doo wop songs like 'Such a Long Way' and 'So Wrong' and so this cd is fantastic for me. I particularly like 'Dance Girl' and 'Pledge of a Fool' as they are both excellent songs and I have never heard the originals so for me they are new songs. Hopefully the title 'Volume 1' means there is a follow up album to come. It also great to see a couple of dates in Scarborough and York in the summer which I am already looking forward to. Thanks again for your great music. |
