All samples were immunohistochemically examined for vimentin, smooth muscle actin, muscle specific actin and desmin expression. All tumours were positive for vimentin. Ten canine fibrosarcomas from presumed injection sites and all feline samples contained cells consistent with a myofibroblastic immunophenotype. Aluminium deposits were detected in eight canine fibrosarcomas from presumed injection sites and 11 feline post-vaccinal fibrosarcomas by the aurintricarboxylic acid method. The present study identifies distinct similarities between canine fibrosarcomas from presumed injection sites and feline post-vaccinal fibrosarcomas, suggesting the possibility of the development of post-injection sarcomas not only in cats, but also in dogs. Years ago when my family lived on Tilton Street, Frank was our mailman and in fact, when we got our shih tzu, he recommended a vet. He always had the time to stop and talk to my mom or dad. I want to tell you how amazing your website is and what a true testimony it is to your love of your dogs. It is just my sister and I now as both our parents have gone to heaven. | Comments: | it's been a few years..had hoped to find a pup years ago when Pistol and Super were being bred...circumstances have caused us to put adding another family member on hold until the end of this year....still watching for one of Pistol's pups and now we see in Sig....what I have always dreamed of...Logun is moving up in years and time is nearing to find his protege~companion to keep him company and later to help keep him in my memory when his time comes....hopefully he and I will have several more great years...

We recently lost our beloved Akita of 9 years, Samson, to complications of cancer and the sudden onset of bloat. He was progessing very well with the cancer meds, but it was the bloat that took him to the Rainbow Bridge. It was so unexpected. I was not prepared. As I looked through your "In memory of..."page, I found the additional information on bloat. The Akita is one of the most beautiful dogs in existance! It started getting me crazy, I would chase my poor Bear away from his food and water if we just got done playing.
