I was married to my first and only love, but she left me after 6 yrs. to be on her own. I don't think she was really saved. Anyway, I wasn't saved either, but thought I was. I DID get saved on May 25, 1994 at age 45 praise God! I've served at Bible Baptist Church here in Neodesha, KS ever since. I've been trying to find you ever since, too! I wrote GBT there in Ft. | Comments: | Hello Don't know if you remember us or not but we are at Central Baptist Church, Lafayette, LA with Bro. Nolan. My wife is the one you, Bro. Nolan and Bro. Cobb prayed for at the end of the service. We were going the next day to get the results of tests to determine if she had cancer or not. She did and has had surgery and is undergoing Chemo. now. She has had 3 chemos and has 3 more left. She has not let the cancer get her down and has been able to witness for the LORD about how HE is taking care of her. She still has a sweet song and continues to sing for HIM. I realized that we have a friend in common, Bro. Wayne Fuller in Portales N.M. I candidated at the church in 2003, I think, and was called to be their pastor. Because of developing health concerns (I had to have a hip replaced) I was unable to accept the call but the LORD had something else for us. Anyway I just want to say thanks for praying for Joyce and your friendship. William happened to mention something about the Flanagan's in bible study last night and I got so excited. I first met you folks back in 1980 I believe at Calvary Baptist Church in Levelland Texas. I hope you remember me but I understand if you don't since you meet many people over the years. I saw you last at a ladies retreat at Faith Baptist in Lubbock. I believe that was 1989. I am pleased to hear that you are doing well and your years in the music ministry have went well. I am anxious to hear from you as I am wondering if you know anything about Bro. Loren Everett and Carol his wife and what church they are at now. They were at Levelland Baptist Temple in the late 80s and early 90's I get a christmas cards from Bro Earl and Reba Wood each year. Br. Wood is around 90 now and they are still serving at local nursing homes in Rusk, Texas area. Also do you know anything about George and Kathy Abbas from Colorado and how they are doing. After William mentioned your name I started singing "Your Walk Talks" and "Doubting Thomas" They just chuckled. I have been so blessed to have shared in your ministry and music in my younger years (I'm 52 now)and I have several of your albums and cassettes. I guess I need to order some CDs now huh. I have family in the Whitesboro/Callisburg Area. My first cousin is Sue Wood. Her daughter Jana teaches at Callisburg I believe. I don't know her married name. She is a real sweet girl. Sue's mom is still living in Pilot Point and her dad Donald Holly ,who was my mom's brother, passed away in June and he is buried out at Valley View Cemetary. Sue's sister Pam lives in Pilot Point Also and her and her husband own Larry's Custom Cabinets. One of their buildings burned last year, you may have read about it in the paper. It was a 4 alarm fire. No one was hurt praise God. They are all Chrisitan people. I am so glad to know that you are kin to Barbara and William. Dub Hendricks was the pastor. I believe Willie Cosby was preaching.Anyway my husband likeed the song "What's wrong with The Old Black Book?" I copied down the words by listening to a recording and we still sing the song at our church. Dave is the pastor of Welcome Bapt. Church in Chesapeake, VA. We have lived here for about 25 years.
