Something tells me it might have been earlier as the photographs indicate I must have been at least a month or more old and not a newborn (as I was told), when I was brought home. This was a private adoption and I was only allowed to know very general things about the adoptive parents. Nothing to identify them at all. I have recently discovered that there is a half sister on her bio-fathers side that is looking for her as well. At the time of the adoption, I told the people handling it that I didn't know who the father was due to him threatening to take her if I wasn't going to keep her. There was no way I was going to let that happen, as a matter of fact - he is in prison yet again as I type this. Hence, the reason I wouldn't let him take her. |
