He was born in 1972, and was adopted by Jim and Carol Burke at 11 years old, but not without Kathy taking him to another state to prevent the state from adopting him out. Because of this "kidnapping" we know that Kathy must have been prevented from connecting to my husband as a child, but it also showed Jimmy even more of just how much his mom loved him. | Comments: | I am one of four children. My mother gave up a baby for adoption in 1969 (the weather was warm so I am going to guess it was late summer, early fall). The child was born at Cape Canaveral Hospital. The adoption was a "closed" adoption and the sex of the child was not disclosed either. This child (now adult) has (3) brothers and (1) sister,(me), my other sister was killed in a car accident in 2005. I suspect that some of the information on the adoption may be incorrect to keep this child from ever knowing where they came from (including birth hospital)
If you were born at Cape Canaveral Hospital sometime between late 68 or early 1969, you could be that child. Your biological brothers and sister have (blue eyes and thier hair color ranges from light brown (blonde as a child) to black) most of us are fair skinned however, one brother has olive skin. Our mother, Sethie Pitt forgot much of the information relative to the adoption as a result of (post tramatic syndrome). WE would love to meet our brother or sister.. At the time, her birth mother was 20 years old, 5' 8" tall and weighed 130 pounds. Brown hair and brown eyes and a fair complexion. At the time, she was working in the shipping office of a large furniture manufacturing company. Her birth father was 21 years old, 6' tall and 150 pounds. He had dark brown hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. Italian ancestry. The adoption was facilitated by Helen Tanos Hope.
It looks as if the birth mother had moved from West Palm Beach to Hollywood shortly before the birth. The Final Hearing for my wife's adoption was held in Judge Metzger's chambers in the Palm Beach County Courthouse. Any information would be greatly appreciated. It is not our intent to pressure anyone into anything, it's just a matter of wanting to know. My wife is the kindest person you could ever want to meet. She just feels it's time to begin this journey. |
