I am so proud to have Cherokee as my heritage. My great
grandfather was Cherokee. I have been trying to trace my
ancestry for several years now. If you have any information
I would greatly appreciate it. His name was Aaron Russell.
Thank you ,

{WISDOM IS OF THE PAST AND KNOWLEDGE IS OF THE FURTUER}
what can be said about truth, truth could say that all life
has a fire, and this means all ,it has a way of shedding
light and warmth, burnning and destructive this can be said
about all life, how do we wish to see"in reality or illuison"
all creation has truth!!,even duck tape has a darker and
lighter side and holds all together, and do we not laugh
when we are most serieous....truth is felt in the heart and
fallowed in thought brings us to the moment.when felt first
all is one,the red way is circles and though these we learn
"and here we are"thank you for being here, walk in bueaty

Hello! I loved your website! very fascinating. Well, I'll
try to share a bit of wisdom...I have little wisdom as of
yet and what I know is yours to know.... but what i do know
is that life is what you make of it! Your thoughts shape
your world and mine. Intent seems to be the key to
everything. I have few words to speak. I leave you with one
thing in mind. Remember the sound of the croaking raven,
the howling wolf and the croaking frogs. They all say the
same thing, " FREEEEEEDOM!!!!"

It's is always a joy to see the Truth in those of our
People, but never before have I seen it portrayed so
beautifully in one so young. You have grown to understand
in your twenty years what many of us never learn to grasp in
forty. I struggle every day to come to terms with who I am.
It is people like you, my Sister, who shares my blood, that
grant me the strength and will to continue my search. You
will forever be special to me, Little Flute, for you know
and you teach, and I learn. Wado, eternally. I hope to be
the first to thank you when we all join our Father. Joseph

In response to the comment below... True, perhaps this
could be said of this picture. I prefer to see it as
testimony to the respect of my Ancestors in what they went
through, a symbol telling all that I remember what happened
and I am proud that their Spirit has survived. To me, this
proud warrior prays to the Maker that it never happens
again, to any People...

Your use of the "End of The Trail" picture is unfortunate.
It symbolizes the defeat of the Indian and sadness of the
past. Perhaps an image representing the indominable spirit
would be better. After over 500 year of genocide...we are
still here.

Little Flute,
I heard a distance calling. A smooth sound fills the
empty valley. A voice is heard above all the rest. The
trees sway with the rhythm of its pitches. Its notes dance
on the smooth silver lakes. This music comes from a Little
Flute's atal'ya.
Enjoy my beloved. I hope that this makes you smile as you
gaze over my shoulder at my mispelled words.
Love ya lots,
Trin
