| Comments or queries: | I've been conducting research for my husband's family and this website has been extremely helpful. I already had a lot of the names and dates thanks to my husband's great-aunt, Sarah E. (Welch) Krouse, but thanks to this website I have been able to piece a lot more together. On my husband's mother's side (Linda S. Smith who was daughter to Mildred L. Welch/Smith/Nelson and Ivan Smith) I can go back 5 generations so far. Unfortunately I have not been able to find much on Ivan Smith, her father. I know he had a brother named Omar Smith. His parents names were Ivan Smith and Estella Hawthorne/Smith. I found two "Stella" Smiths buried in the area through the http://www.fairfieldgenealogy.org/index.htm site. Stella B. Smith in Amanda and Stella M. Smith in Liberty. Ivan lived in Ohio most of his life and died around 1980 (probably born sometime around 1930?). My brother in law also remembers that he was a taxi driver. One lead I found online indicates he may have been born in West Virginia but I don't know how reliable that information is. I also know that he and Mildred were married and then divorced. She later remarried (Ray Nelson) and she died Jan. 1999 and was buried at Floral hills Memory Gardens Cemetery. Since we live in Florida and are both graduate students the internet is pretty much our only source of information. So we greatly appreciate any information. Thank you so much for putting this website together! |

| Surnames in Bloom Twp.:: | Potter |
| Comments or queries: | I am looking for information on Anna Potter. She was the daughter of Joesph and Sarah E. Carr Donley. I'm not sure of her husband's first name. She was my grandmother's niece. My grandmother was Julia Carr Blacksten. Half sister to Sarah. In my research when Anna's brother Walter Donley died, she was living in Pickerington. I would love to hear from her family. Thanks! Ruby |
