If anyone here has any remote connection to Cher, I would so much like to tell her that I saw her son Chas on Dancing With the Stars tonight and he struck me as such an honest, genuine person who seemed extremely comfortable in his own skin. I am sure he is coming across that way to most viewers because you just can't help liking him and his polite mannerisms and enthusiastic work ethic. Most times, this stuff and the easy likeable vibe someone like Chas gives off comes from within, and being able to reconcile youself with the person you see in the mirror to your inner self. I don't care what gender he/she was, I can see who he generally seems, and he seems much more real than so many posers in this world. PLUS he is polite and charming, I am sure Mom helped foster this while bringing him up:) Cher should be soooo proud!!! | |

I am writing this e-mail hoping you will be able to read it. My name is Pelin Tepoyan. I am an Armenian living in Ýstanbul, Turkey. My father is the president of the Foundation that is carrying out the project of Saint Giragos Armenian Church in Diyarbakýr is known to be the biggest Armenian church in the middle east. It is known to be built in 1515-1518 as a metropolitan church. Going through various attacks, fires and restoration projects, the church survived as a place in use until early 1980s. Unfortunately after the last Armenian community members left the city, the church almost entirely collapsed.
The Armenian community started to take an initiative for the renovation however they did not want the Ministry of Culture to renovate the church because all churches that are renovated by the State are used as museums and people are not allowed to pray there (just like the Akhtamar Church in Van). Therefore the Armenian foundation that owns the church developed a renovation project and started to implement it in October 2009. We are making contacts with Armenians all over the world and people from Diyarbakýr to raise the remaining of the money. We will be meeting Armenian community members in New York on May 14th, then in Toronto following week. We were in Europe and all the Armenian all over Europe were very helpful. I was wondering if you might suggest any charities/persons that might be interested in contributing to this project at any level. As an Armenian and what our grand-grandfathers had been through, I believe it is our duty to be sensitive as the young generation.Please do not hesitate to forward this email to anybody that may be interested in meeting us. Let me preface this by saying I am a HUGE Cher fan and I adore her. I adore her bravado, her courage, her perseverance, her music, her wardrobes. I love it all. But I was so, so disappointed by her final show on February 5, 2011.
My husband surprised me with tickets to it for Christmas this past year. He booked my friend and I on a four-day trip, with the Cher concert to be the pinnacle time of the trip. Turns out, it was by far the most disappointing part of the whole trip. It made me so sad, and made me wonder if Cher just had enough of the whole Vegas thing. Sadly, at least half the show she was not on stage. We saw videos. I don't mind that, but I paid to see her. Not a stinking video I can download on YouTube. I loved seeing the costumes, but I would have way rather had her on stage doing more songs. She said her voice was hoarse that night, and I understand. But she just didn't seem that engaged, and with her final song, Believe, I was still cheering and waiting for the show to go on. It was over. With nothing more than a few bows to the crowd, she finished the song, left and didn't look back. No fanfare. No final hurrah. Just her leaving and not returning even though most of us there continued to cheer and scream for her. Everywhere I looked, people were bewildered it was over. Stunned that she chose to end her 2.5 years there on a very low, uneventful note. Cher, I love you. I hope some of these reviews come back to you. I adore the woman you are. This could have been so much better. We don't have money to throw about and this was an extraordinarily big deal for our family to pay to have me go to your show. I was so, so bitterly disappointed. I've seen you tour before and it was magical. This was flat. You appeared disinterested and ready to be done. I know it was a long haul over the last 2.5 years and those Vegas crowds can be dull, but it was the last night. People made special trips to see you. It was the low light of my whole trip. My money was better spent buying half price tickets to Love - that was a remarkable stage show, and what you want in a Vegas show. Cher, I wanted to love it. I wanted to adore you. I left angry and feeling like my dollars meant nothing to you. Sorry it didn't work out. And don't expect me to be at the upcoming "new" tour you are working on. Like you, I give up. | |

Cher I have just gone thru the worst holiday season. My brother got critcally ill and I traveled out of state to take care of him and ended up spending Christmas and New Years with him, thus me not being with my husband, children and grandchildren. I would do it again, but I pray I will never have to do that again.
When I returned home, my husband knew I would just crash so he told me he had a surprise for me. He is taking me to Vegas this coming weekend just to see your show as he knows I am a huge fan. I was in Vegas at one of your first shows and now I will be there for one of your last shows. It might have been a difficult Christmas but the new year looks so much better.
