John Perkins Sr. married Judith Gater, daughter of Michael and Isabel Bailey Gater, in 1608 at Hillmorton Hall, Hillmorton Parish, Warwickshire, England. They had three sons John Jr. (1609-1686), Thomas (1622-1686) and Jacob (1624-1700). Neill's Father is Elton Perkins, my mother Isabelle Perkins brother. The line then goes to Frank John Perkins 1876 Michigan to John b 1835 Ontario Upper Canada, to Calvin b 1800 VT. It becomes clouded at this point. Any help from cousins will be much appreciated. I have gone back to Pierre de Dreux [even further] and down some way along his descentdant lines but i have the hiatus from c1702 when a George Perkins was born in Falmouth; from him i have a clear line of descent to those who came out and down to South Australia. If so, John was born to J&E circa Feb 1667; his sister Mary in Mar 1671. |
