Comments:Hi Don... Mr. Francisco!!!
We were in the Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs, CO
4 years ago on Leap Day while "American Woman" was on display. You signed and gave us a piece of the marble from your beautiful statue! It has always been one of our most prized possesions and today, being Leap Day 2008, we plan on finding another special souvenier to commemorate this day. Thank You for your Beautiful art. Have you done more statues since then?

Sincerely,
Don & Sarah Wolford

Comments:Dear Francisco,

I find your sculpture only rivaled by the great Michaelangelo. You have been sorely overlooked as the great sculptor of our generation.I have studied sculpture and have a PhD in sculpture from the Chicago Art Institute in Chicago, Illinois. I find your fluid lines express the inner workings of the female mind. I met you at Leon Gessi Pizza and you probably don't remember me because you have to focus all of your attention on your art. I spoke to my colleagues at the institute and they showed some interest in "American Woman," but I informed them that you would probably be uncomfortable showing your work in such a
pedestrian and pretentious setting.
You are a master of the female form and I understand what you are saying in your "American Woman" piece. You are saying that Women in America have been sexualized and are unable to express their true selves due to social pressures. By placing her on the piano and in front of an American flag, you are showing that women are an instrument that is played by our society. It shows that women, although somewhat oppressed by our culture, rise up and are beautiful
while at the same time strong and intelligent. The sculpture exudes strength of character and the piercing stare of a woman possessed by not only her own sense of self, but also a Machiavellian sexual self control.
Please continue your incredible work. I will be watching your website for the continued progress of your magnanimous career.
One last thing, have you begun work on the up and coming "American Man" sculpture? I will be waiting to see this piece alongside "American Woman" as the definitive embodiment of American culture.

I love stone sculpture and look forward to the day I can see your work in person. I told you in an e-mail that I've been dabbling in marble and limestone for a few years so I can really appreciate the effort and talent that goes into your work, especially in this day and age when grinding and polishing a stone into a blob of roughly the same shape is considered 'sculpture'. Thanks for sharing your gift.
