After Keg Weather: Death's Kid Brother 1. The Full Flower Moon has use for human sacrifice, so some senior boy without credit to graduate drowns. As I blow into this regional high school, girls are chipping in on American Beauty roses to toss over the falls he took their hearts down: white water, head of foam, the margins of his yearbook snapshot. Petals will separate like polished nails. 2. Serene among the weeping blondes, this drowned boy's brother, impish Dracula, prowls the round corridors cloaked in the crow- winged overcoat he just inherited. Death wreathes his spiked hair like a crown of thorns. 3. Write for me. It's time. I tell the live boy. Remember what a pest I am, he boasts. In sloppy script, all loopholes and tight angles, the kid brother knocks this out: The stares in the night sky look like their about to burst and the apple blosoms on the apple trees look like there about to burst but the best of all is when pretty girls passing by in cars wave their hands at me then I feel like I'm about to burst. 4. Back home I start hanging out my wash. The black phone rings indoors. Clouds for a hundred tons of storm roll over. How many drops will score? I think everyone flirts with death's kid brother. I single out his work and pull down damp shirts singing: Life's not done for till there's no more dirt. One red tongue-tied sock's still pinned to my taut line by the time it pours. |

Here's a song I wrote a GIA... Everytime I look in to your eyes I get a yearning a burning inside It's something strange and that's when I realize, You've got a butt that's like, ten miles wide, YEAH! You smell so bad, Your hair is so gross, And ya know the thing about ya that I hate the most is, You really make me wanna PUKE. Thank you, thank you. Hope that didn't offend anyone. :) |
