In that same year I began my studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. I received my Master of Divinity degree in 1977. I returned to UH in 1989 and earned a Master of Social Work degree in 1992. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am the director of Life Resource Management and provide counseling and psychotherapy to people suffering from anxiety and PTSD. I am also director of High Time Christian Ministries. I preach revivals and lead retreats and seminars. Pat and I have two sons (Kevin, born in 1977 and Brian, born in 1979. |

We are getting ready to go back again. We're beach bums at heart, we love to ride on the beach, walk on the beach, just be around the salt water and salt air! I am a double cancer survivor of 7 years, my husb John had a massive heart attack this past August. so...we are dealing with lots of different things. We babysit the grandbaby every day and she is what keeps us up and going! Suddenly we have become our parents - we are feeling old ! There are some friends I truly miss and wonder how they are. |

I owe the Vocational Office Education (VOE) program at French High for providing me with clerical/office skills that assisted me in getting clerical/secretarial jobs that substained me until I could get a better job (nonclerical). After graduating from FHS, I worked my way thru college & upon graduation, taught public high school for a year before I left Texas for a new career. I am currently living the life of a very happy retiree. Its nice to come home. Keep the memories alive. |

Traveled everywhere (not finished), was mayor in Fayetteville, Ar., 8 years. I love designing small, super energy-efficient homes. I appear to be the only liberal ever to come out of Texas (I hear tell of a small group on Austin). Land out by the Buffalo River in the Wilds of Arkansas is the most beautiful in America. | Comments: | I left Beaumont after graduation to go to Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches where I met my husband, Billy, where else but in the Lumberjack band. He played French horn; I played flute. It took us 5 years to get through college because we married in 1967 and had our first child, Stephanie in 1969. He got a position as band director in Mt. Pleasant in 1970 and have been here ever since. In addition to our daughter we adopted a son, Chuck, in 1976. He's a DPS trooper here, so no speeding in our family. LOL! We also have a grandson, Blake, who is a sophomore in college, praying about going into the music ministry. I retired in 2008 after 38 years of teaching elementary school. I still substitute some just to keep in touch with the kids. Sorry I missed the last reunion. I hope to be able to come to the next one. I enjoy reading everyone's posts about the "good old days". |

Met a Cajun girl, (Trudy) New Years Eve 1982, married 11-83 adopted her daughter, (Jada) 10-84. Jada was being born while Walter Hattox and I were being interrogated by the Crystal Beach Police for a B & E that we wrongly accused of the night after graduation. Trudy gave me Jonathan 2-88. Jada gave me Caleb 8-2009. I work offshore oil field construction as supervisor. |

| Comments: | And the journey continues. Duringt FHS I was pretty naive and sort of lost about what to do with myself. Spent most of my FHS days on a motorcycle. I miss motocross and Golden Triangle Dragstrip. After French, tried Lamar but wasn't ready, so I hitchhiked up to Virginia, down the Atlantic Coast & back to TX. Then the Marines took me to East Coast & overseas. Married now for 34 years. Great wife, (Robin Brown - Forest Park, 74), 3 kids, 1 stayed in Boston since Harvard (crazy yank). We've lived all over; Austin, Corsicana, Ft.Worth, Albuqurque, North Carolina, and Waco (4 times now). Work as a Systems Engineer on government ISR (Intelligence) platforms and have been in aviation for most of 30 years. Sometimes hard to picture me and intelligence. Managed to do fairly well in spite of myself. Sometimes you get lucky. Me - I'm just waiting to see where God puts me next! |
