Comments:Little Billy was the partner of a real good friend of mine - Steve. Billy was a lovely bloke and I am lucky enough to have a couple of original signed art work by him of homoerotic guys as well as a calendar that he produced and signed personally for me. It was a thing with Billy that he could only ever draw pictures of guys that turned him on and it always amazed me and I used to find it cute Billy was about 5 foot tall, in his 60's and weighed about 10 stome wet through where as Stevie was 6 foot plus in his 40's and weighed about 20 stone but as partners they were both a lovely couple.

Comments:Thank you so much for this great Bill Ward website. I was a Drummer Magazine fan from its first publication and subsequently collected every issue. I literally 'grew up' with the art of Bill Ward. The fantasies drawn in my mind from reading Drummer and seeing those stories illustrated by Bill Ward, formed much of tastes for life.

Comments:I corresponded a couple of times with Bill Ward's American rep close to the end of hsi life and one thing of note was that Bill was a rather well known author and illustrator of children's books in England and could not afford to have it known he was also the creator or such highly homoerotic drawings as were produced over the years. Bill Ward may not have been his real name. I would love to find out if that was true.

Comments:Awesome...I'm sure I'm not the ONLY guy that's done a search for Bill Ward and come up with the 1950's artist that did (straight) pin-up illustrations.

Drummer and the Drum series were/are an important part of my appreciation of masculine hot imagery.

Comments:FINALLY, a website devoted to this illustrator's illustrator! I feared I'd never see the day! I looked for info about Ward online some time ago & gave up in disgust. I couldn't believe there was so little! Today, for the hell of it, I went a-googling again & discovered this website. What a pleaure!

BEST WISHES!

Comments:Bill Ward's drawings has been long a favorite of mine. I am not aware of his passing until I was googleing the web for his works.

I had always enjoyed his drawings and how his masculine figures showed up / turned up in my many-wet-dreams....

I loved his drawings!!!

Comments:This is a great resource. Bill Ward is undoubtably my greatest inspiration. It was his work that threw me into the homerotic art scene, both as a viewer and as an artist.

Thanks for this :)

Comments:Thanks for putting your time into this site. We keep a stack of Drummer’s out in the house and the first thing everyone looks for in them is Drum. Bill Ward had an exceptional talent for drawing hot, hunky men in situations that homoerotic fantasies are made of.

Comments:Great job so far.

Have you considered setting up some sort of "tip jar" so people can donate a few bucks toward the continuation and upkeep of this project?

Thank you. Bill Ward is fortunate to have such a guardian in you.
