n i didnt actually liked it, now almost 20 years later,i was listening some music in my pc n i thought about rigor mortis,so i got some of their music, and now im convinced, they are real sick and psycho !! But its just like the scary movies you know? some of them are really sick! and twisted, just like some song out there! So now i think that its really not bad, its actually very original-cool-hard-heavy and deep ! I've also seen some pic of the band and the guys look so hard-heavy rockers, nothing to do with the bunch of little faggots rockers wanna be of now days. For the record,Rigor Mortis its a heavy band ,so deep in their lyrics,and hard players two thumbs way up !! im not really into trash metal, but i've heard many trash-speed-black metal bands n i can tell, rigor mortis its way out of the ordinary. |

I used to crank out "bodily dismemberment" at all the social gatherings I used to go to, just so people would give me that "what the fuck are you listening to" look. I vividly remember walking around the park on the 4th of July waiting for the firworks to start cranking Rigor Mortis. I knew Rigor Mortis was the shit, when everyone at the park was telling me to "turn that shit off". You know, it only got louder. I ripped off the lines from "bodily dismemberment" for my English poetry class while in high school, I got a "B" with the teacher's remarks stating I should seek counciling. Man, they just don't come that bad ass anymore.

My funny story with Rigor Mortis: When I saw the first album back in 1988 I first thought it was a new SODOM LP,cause the dead guy on the cover looked like a dead Tom Angelripper.I didn't mind that there was written RM in big letters on it..... After buying it I was blown away from "Demons" and it became one of my favourite songs at this time.The whole album is one of my favourite 13 Thrash albums ever!!! Re-Animator! | Comments on Rigor?: | I remember when I saw the first Rigor Mortis album way back 1988. I picked it up and said to myself cool cover, hope the music is just as good. Needless to say, I was blown away. I couldn't wait until they came to play a show in the SF Bay Area. Unfortunately, it wasn't until 1991 when they finally came around for their vs. the earth release. I was disappointed to say the least. I knew Bruce had left the band after the first album and was quick to accept Doyle as the new singer, but the only member in the band I could recognize was Casey Orr. It just wasn't the same. I was talking to the new drummer (don't remember his name, had a bald head) at the end of the show and he told me Triple X records had screwed the band for some money and no one, except Casey wanted to tour. Shortly there after Rigor Mortis was no more. It would be sweet if they did a reunion show, especially in SF. All the Rigor Mortis releases kick ass, but the first one is by far the best. Bruce, you rule dude!!! |
