Busta Gonad, the first reply, got it right - it was Steve Tuck, who was, at that time, one of the hardest match players in the area to play against. Mentally tough, no frills, good tactician, capable of making a 60-70 break, he was ahead of his time in local snooker circles. In 1981, he won the King's Lynn Snr and Jnr, the Wisbech Snr & Jnr, the Straford Pairs (with Stan Venman), the Champion of Champions Cup (without playing), plus the Norfolk U18's and the Norfolk U21's (played only once). Only defeat in singles snooker all season was against David Bound (Yar Cons) in the Norfolk County Championship semi-final. A feat not to be repeated... Anyone knows what he's doing or where he is now? |
