Very much looking forward to hearing you at Trinity Church, Bradenton FL this afternoon. A recent, former MM student of Ann Labounsky, I am so grateful that artists of your calibre come to southwestern Florida to play. It's suprisingly 'lonely' down here.

Dear Gail: Always great to check your site and view concert schedule. You're the best in this layman's opinion. I've attended your concerts in Lancaster PA and last Feb., I believe, at St. John's(?), Reading PA. We actually got a chance to chat in Reading which I'm sure you can't remember. I mentioned an "organ fund concert" fundraiser for this poor beast (the organ, not me) here at St. Anthony of Padua, Lancaster PA. At the time, you mentioned that you would gladly play here and were not overly concerned about the condition of the instrument. I'm sure that you'd make it sound better than we've ever heard.
I was excited to see that you'll be in Lebanon, PA in April (a half-hour drive from Lancaster). My partner Joe and I will be there. OK, after all this verbage to the point: If your schedule permits, could you stop buy my church and check out the organ for a future concert? I have a feeling that our organ builder is the choir master at the Episcopal church in Lebanon PA where you'll be playing. I'll have to check it out with him.
In Reading you gave me your business card and personal email, I'll locate the card at home and contact you at that address for future correspondence.
Thank you for sharing your gift with us, happy new year to you. I think I'm close to wearing out my copy of "Bach: Trans Genius." Forewarning: Should you make it to Lancaster I will hound you play Bach: T&F D minor (Dorian).
Thank you and regards,
Scott Chambers (Janitor, St. Anthony of Padua RC Church)

Ms. Archer- My wife and I truly enjoyed your slide presentation and afternoon concert at First UCC in Reading, PA yesterday. It's always woderful to listen to someone who not only brings passion and enthusiasm to their subject but diciplined, artistc brilliance as well. If you have a moment, which of the Hamburg churches you mentioned had the bells hidden in the mud. Thank you
for a delightful day.

Gail,

Your recital at Brookes Chapel, Shorter College, last evening brought my daughter (student) and me from the point of merriment to the point of tears. We would have liked to say more to you following the performance but were spellbound and drained and speechless in all but idle chit chat. After a nights rest to recover, our faculties appear to be with us again. What a blessing you are ... words are inadequate. I never knew an organ could talk and cry and laugh and dance and whirl and worship, truly transporting us to another place. How quickly the time flew by.

May the Lord continue to bless you and your loved ones,
Tom

May 25th I and my wife went to Dresden in Germany from Japan with my friends of two couples and listened to your marvelous organ play at the Hofkirche.
We have never heard such a brilliant and impressive sound ,so deeply moved to.
Also we were very lucky to meet you when you came down to the nave after the play.
Nowadays in Japan there built a lot of concert organs. for example Mr. John Brombaughfs made one in Toyota-city concert hall .
So we are looking forward to listen to your play in Japan in the near future.

Though I did not know who you were, I am quite sure the Music Director at our church will! I am looking foward to seeing your 2008-09 schedule and hearing you play in person in the Chicago area in February 2009.

Have you decided on the repertory for the remaining Messiaen concerts? What's on tap for Feb. 3? When are you doing the other great cycles (Livre d'orgue, Corps glorieux, Medidtations and Livre du Saint Sacrement)? Always wondered if the latter two could be taken in at one sitting. Thanks.

Back in the day, it was first an upright player piano with the perforated piano rolls, which we all learned to play both ways, with the keys and pumping pedals. Then you got the organ, I got the trumpet and Bri got the french horn. A trio it ain't.

Im Desiree' Hines, and I will be entering Montclair State University this fall as a transfer Organ Performance major. It's nice to see such a decorated alumna of MSU!

At firstI only knew very little about Montclair's music department and organ study. But, the more I look and learn, the more I see I have made an excelent choice, as it appears to be one of the many schools that A: offers an Organ major, B: Has a great reputation and history of Organ Performance and C: is overshadowed by the "mega schools" that are concerned with Quantity of organ sutdents.

When I see things like this, it assures me that I have made an excellent choice to continue my training as an organist.

Gail, your enthusiasm for the organ is infectious. Your artistry at the Bach Festival in Winter Park was easily one of the highlights of the entire 3-week event, and you made the Skinner sing on Scheidt, Franck, Mendelssohn and Messiaen --quite an accomplishment. We'll be hearing more about you, I'm sure.

Hi, I'm a rising high school senior and very interested in attending Barnard college. I play the piano and sing and have an intense thirst to learn more about music, especially jazz and composition. However, I probably don't have the vast training, experience, and resume required to get into the Manhatten School of Music or Julliard programs at Barnard. How competitive are the Barnard music programs? Do you have any advice or suggestions on how I might pursue my musical interests?
Thank you and wonderful web site :),
