Robert & Anna & Duke 1987 #24 honeymoon, new home, Herbert dies, Autumn leaves I have also continued to work on the Spinelli/Lulu storyline and decided to do a master edit first and also include all of Maxie/Cooper/Logan so its the entire storyline. I may only offer this on a limited basis if anyone is interested: Lulu/Logan/Spinelli/Maxie/Cooper includes Logan & Cooper’s arrival March - May, 2007 8 hours. Continues from where the Lulu & SPinelli #1 edit ends. Also available: Early Spinelli #1 - edited to Spinelli’s storyline from his arrival, all of his scenes. Recommend this for a fan who is primarily interested in Spinelli without the separate Lulu scenes, does include all of his scenes with Lulu, Jason, ect. Spinelli & Lulu & Logan #2 - continues with Logan’s arrival (picks up from where the Lulu & Spinelli #1 ends), includes all of Logan, all of Spinelli, all of Lulu. This is a good choice for a Lulu fan, who wants all of her scenes including her being pursued by Spinelli/Dillon/Milo, includes her scenes with all of them. I have just completed the first edit in the Spinelli series and also included all of Lulu's scenes: Lulu & Spinelli #1 Nov, 2006 -Mar 2007: Spinelli arrives, Tennessee, Metro Court Looking forward to seeing Jonathan again. I do have all of his earlier scenes on the: Early Lucky Dvd #1-8 Oct, 1993 - May, 1996 Spencer's return home Cassidine vs. Spencers #1-6 June, 1996 - late summer, 1997 - Lulu's bone marrow, Nik/Stefan/Helena arrive Liz & Lucky #1-5 Aug, 1997 - May, 1999 from Liz's arrival through Lucky's death/captivity I plan on doing the next Robert & Anna & Duke 1987 #23 next.... plan on doing more in the Spinelli series... and hope to get back to the L&L 1995 before too long.... and finish up the Robin & Patrick #10B (if they have had enough storyline to finish it!). Big news, I have finally created a Facebook page! If you would like to friend request me, just email me at CurLyQgrL@aol.com and ask me to add you. This group receives updates as to what I’m working on and when I complete individual dvds. I have been working on the Karen & Jagger storyline. I did a “teen edit series” with all of Karen, all of Jagger, all of Robin, all of Jason from the time of Karen’s arrival. So far I have completed three dvds in that series. As I complete future edits in this series, I will also include all of Brenda’s scenes as well, so this will be the complete teen storyline. This series is currently called the Karen & Jagger & Jason & Robin series. Karen & Jagger & Jason & Robin #1A - April 7 - June 3, 1992 4 hour dvd Karen & Jagger & Jason & Robin #1B - June 3 - 16, 1992 - 4 hour dvd Karen & Jagger & Jason & Robin #2A July 16 - Aug 14, 1992 4 hours I have then edited it down to Karen & Jagger’s storyline, with all of Karen and all of Jagger. This does include a lot of Jason as he is heavily involved dating Karen, working with her on the teen hotline, then when they are shipwrecked together. However, this edit does not include Jason’s separate scenes with Q’s, Robin, nor Robin’s separate scenes. This is a good option for the fan who primarily wants K&J scenes. Karen & Jagger #1 April 7 - August 14, 1992: 8 hours on two 4 hour dvds I did record the 2009 Daytime Emmy Pre-show and Award show and have combined those onto a single dvd. Also have GH descriptions for Jan into June, 1996. So episodes are now described from 1978 into mid, 1996. The new 1996 episode write ups should be up on my “GH Episode” section of my web site soon. Yes, I do plan on continuing to edit all of the Cassidine vs. Spencer storyline through the rest of 1999, 2000, 2001 through conclusion of End Game to complete the L&L storyline. I have already edited the 2002-2006 time frame for them. Also found a few additional 1981 episodes of Diana Taylor’s murder, and episode as Jeff is getting ready to depart the show....about three hours combined onto a dvd, a bit additional edited episodes as well. |

Fortunately there are no “lost” years for GH in the 1990’s as I have episodes going back into early 1980’s. | Comments: | I am very interested in all things involving Jason & Sam. I'm most interested in finding out about what I call the lost years of Jason Q. I can't seem to find in episodes of JQ from 1993-1995. At first, I thought that maybe SB left the show briefly, but apparently he didn't. If you have any of that footage and all the Robin & Jason stuff before and after the accident up until their final break up is good, and all Sam McCall stuff minus Lucy would be absolutely fabulous. I just need to know what your prices are and acceptable forms of payment.
Also, would you happen to have any Susan Moore footage? I can't seem to find any of that. And since you obviously have like everything ever, do you actually knnow if Jason knows Monica is not his mother, I mean did anyone tell him after the accident? Even Soaps in Depth won't aswer that question. |

Back from the GH Fan Club Weekend, had a blast as always! Enjoyed the new hotel, the service was great! I recorded three events this year, the Kickoff & GH Luncheon which are combined onto one dvd and the Scrubs Event 2009. See info below on this year's events, I have many previous years of GH Fan Club Luncheons, Super Soap Weekend events, individual fan events, edited actor interview dvds with a collection of personal appearences and TV interviews edited to particular actors, just ask for a list on your favorites. The Scrubs 2009 Event dvd is being offered to benefit the "LA Aids Walk", 100% of the proceeds go directly to the charity, you send a money order made out to the charity. I'm also offering a combination Scrubs 2008 & 2009 dvd also to benefit their charity. I do still have the Scrubs 2006 & 2007 combination event dvd available. Scrubs 2009 Event - 1 hr 53 minutes This event had a nice long Q&A, about an hour. They also did a live auction, probably another :30 minutes. I also included clips of them signing autographs, and taking pictures with the fans. They are so relaxed with each other, cute moment as a fan asked them each what they liked about each other. Kimberly groaned as she watched video clips of Karokee night. They talked about filming that sequence, about working together, their different working styles. Seemed like he is very protective of her. Nice to hear them chatting about the show, each other, their characters, like sitting down for a visit with a couple of good friends. This completes the R&H storyline for the 1980’s, and all of their storyline for 1982-1992 is now available. Duke & Anna & Robin 1987 #18 Duke released on probation, Camilia arrives, L’Orleans begins Duke & Anna & Robin 1987 #19 D&A set a wedding date, L’Orleans continues, Camila returns to PC Robert & Anna & Duke 1987 #20 L’Orlean exposed, wedding cancelled, Robert Returns note: Robert is off the show on the D&A 1987 #18-19. I have completed the Spencer vs. Cassidine #13, this edit includes all of Luke & all of Laura’s scenes and covers Lucky’s death, Faison and Lucky’s captivity: Cassidine vs. Spencers #13 -March- May, 1999 Lucky’s death I have also completed: Robert & Holly 1985 #35 Sean arrives in PC, Aztec treasure, Petros Cassidine, Brock’s murder Currently, I’m working on the R&H 1985 #36 which I believe will bring the RH series up to where the Robert & Holly & Anna 1985 #1 begins. Note for fans who are interested in the Luke & Holly storyline, Holly was on the Luke & Holly & Robert 1982 #16 - 28, this was followed by the Holly & Robert #30-35 (after L&L left town). The R&H 1985 #36 I expect to complete their storyline. This is followed by the Anna & Robert & Holly 19845 #1-5 (Holly left on the #5) Holly's 1992 Return Robert & Holly & Anna's 2006 Return No, I haven’t done any Maxie edits. I have completed the Just Jason #13, #14 #15. This covers through Jason's Jan, 2000 departure. This includes all of his scenes for 1999, and follows his storyline after Robin departs the show, as he develops feelings for Carly and they begin a romantic relationship, through Carly accusing him of kidnapping when the Q's are trying to get custody of Michael and threathen her with Ferncliff, she marries AJ, and winds up sleeping with Sonny. Jason is shot the same night, and LIz nurses him back to health as they begin their friendship. Just Jason #15 Oct, 1999 - Jan, 2000 - Jason shot, S&C sleep together, Jason leaves Just Jason #14 June - Oct, 1999 NB, Jason terminates his relationship with Michael Just Jason #13 Feb - May, 1999 - Jason returns & finds Carly has accused him of kidnapping I have also just completed the next edit in the Spencer vs. Cassidine series. This includes all of Luke, Laura, and a lot of Stefan & Nik. I am working on the Cassidine vs. Spencer #13 which will include Lucky's death. Currently, I'm working on finishing the new Just Jason series for 1998 and working on the #9. This series covers ALL of Jason's scenes from just before the accident in Dec, 1995 into spring, 1998 so far. I do plan on finally getting to the Cassidine vs. Spencer #12 next. I will also be finishing the Jason & Sam #19, and doing a Robin & Patrick #7. I do have notification lists for anyone who would like to receive an email update as each new edit in the Robin & Patrick series is completed, another list for Jason & Sam,Jason & Liz, Robert, or Luke & Laura ect. Just ask if you would like to receive an email notice for new edits in any of these series. As for Nik & Rebecca, first I will have to bring the Nik & Emily storyline current. Also it can take a good 4-6 months to have enough footage to do an edit so no immediate plans of begining this edit. Just let me know if you would like to be added to that email group, very little email involved. I recommend this for anyone who enjoys the classic shows. While I didn't initially agree with the writers' decision to kill off such a wild and wonderful character, I DO now understand the reasoning behind it. MOTIVATION. See, it's one thing to hear, accademically, that there are bad people in the world, who wanna do bad things, but that issue takes on a whole new meaning when someone you love is hurt by those vile creatures. If Robert didn't have enough incentive BEFORE, he had plenty after. A promise to a friend HAS to be kept, if at all possible and Robert is very loyal to friends. Anyway, after O'Reilly was killed, the writers took a share of verbal bullets on the character's and actress' (Billie Hayes) behalf, from irate fans. Of which I was one. So, as the old saying goes; "it all came out in the wash." I'm currently working on a blog, "Kings of the Wrong Castle" where I combine the Ice Princess storyline with the 70's show PufnStuf, and strand the Cassidines on Living Island. Being the ruthless scuzzbags they are, they evict Witchpiepoo, who forms a reluctant (at first) alliance with Robert, Luke and Laura, get the Ice Princess back and, for a brief time, L,L and Robert get their friend (O'Reilly) back. I do hope to continue the Cassidine vs. Spencer series. I took a break from editing the later time frame when I was loaned original episodes from 1981-1995 and have been working to get all of those episodes transfered to dvd. While working on this project, I have also been editing the Luke & Laura storyline in sequence and have gotten up to the summer of 1994 in their storyline. I am just about finished with transfering the 1994 episodes and do plan on getting back to the Luke & Laura 1994 #5 and will probably finish the 1994 time frame next. So still to do in the L&L storyline is the rest of 1994, 1995, up till where the Cassidine vs. Spencer #1 begins in May, 1996. Then I still have all of 1999, 2000, 2001 to finish editing to complete their storyline...getting there. I am interested in doing the 1999 time frame as I think they did amazing work during Lucky's death. Note: I also recorded Tyler's Event during the GH FCW and that is available through his fan club to raise money for the Hollywood theatre he supports. I have finished the Early Robin #1-3 edits which covers all of the Asian Quarter storyline from the time of her arrival. These edits include the entire storyline, Robert, Anna, Frisco, Sean, Robin during that storyline and ends around Robert's departure from PC. I then continued with the Early Robin #4, and this next edit is more edited to Robin's scenes as Anna is off investigating the Laurelton murder mystery (and I had already edited that storyline with all of Anna & all of Robin's scenes on the Anna 1986 #9-11). So this Robin #4 is more edited to her scenes with Anna as her mom attempts to balance being a working single mom. Also included are Robin's scenes with her godfathers, Buzz, Frisco, Sean, and also with Bobbie and Felicia as they help care for her during the frequent times Anna has to leave town to pursue the murder investigation. Then Duke enters town and begins romancing Anna. Cute scenes as he gives her bagpipes (Anna is NOT amused), and she looks adorable in her Scottish kilt. I am also working on finishing the Duke & Anna & Robin #14. I expect to also complete the next edit in the NIk series from the fall of 2005, edited up to the train wreck time frame (similar in time frame to a Nem #9) but follows Nik's entire storyline. Now that 1994 is on dvd, I will get back to finishing the Early Brenda Dvd #8. So these three edits will be the next completed.....Have many that I want to do but not sure what will come next, probably the L&L 1994 #5. I am also transfering Days episodes to dvd and have complete episodes from 1983 - 1985 on dvd.... next will be GH 1995 to complete the collection of original GH episodes on dvd from 1981-2008! Also will be transfering Days 1986 original episodes to dvd. stacey : ) |

Happy 4th of July! Just wanted to take a minute and let you all know that I will be out of town for the annual GH Fan Events next week... I will be gone from July 9-14th. I have been asked to record the following events: GH FCW Kickoff Event GH Fan Club Luncheon - celebrating 45 years! GH Past Cast Event Scrubs Event Jason Gerhardt (Cooper) Karokee Event - special guest Brandon Still working on transfering original 1994 GH episodes to dvd, and original Days 1985 episodes to dvd so haven't done much editing recently. I have continued with the Nik storyline from where the Nik & Emiily #8 ended. This series contains all of Nik's scenes with both Courtney and Emily, so all of his scenes (but not Em's separate storyline with Sonny). Nik & Courtney & Emily August 23 - Oct 12, 2005 - 4 hr dvd Nik & Courtney & Emily Oct 13 - ?, 2005 - in progress So for now will work on compiling all of Nik's storyline through summer, 2006..later I do plan on going back and doing something more edited to the Nem storyline (without Courtney & Sonny), so I do plan on creating a Nem #9 more edited to Nem together but will be awhile in the making as I will first edit Nik's storyline. I have also created a "Daytime Emmy 2008" dvd: Daytime Emmy's 2008 DVD News Clip on Daytime Emmy's - 2 mins Soapnet's Pre-Show Arrivals - 2 hrs hosted by Finola Hughes, Rebecca Budig, & Lawrence Zarian Daytime Emmy's - 1 1/2 hrs no commercials Hosted by Sherri Shepard & Cameron Mathison San Diego Local News on nominee and presenter gift bags Jimmy Kimmel Live - Regis on his Emmy Lifetime Acheivement Award 10 mins I have also created the description for the Liz & Lucky #15, and finished off the Jacob time frame with the Liz & lucky #16. This last edit is a three hour dvd and edited to their scenes together as they didn't have a lot of storyline together during Jacob's last few months before his departure. I have edited a lot of Lucky's storyline during the attic mystery and Nik & Lucky hiding Rick's body, that is separate from the Liz & Lucky #16...this completes the Jacob time frame project and the LIz edits up till summer, 2004 (including the edits with her complete storyline on the Jason & LIz #1 & #2 for summer, 2002 and the Ric & Liz edits from late 2002-spring, 2004). Currently, I'm working on finishing the Robin & Patrick #5 which is into October, 2007 so far. I have finished the #5A, just working on finishing the #5B dvd for this edit. I do plan on doing a Jason & Liz #10 next, and not sure after that. I may do a Robin & Patrick #6 to bring the storyline current. Right now these are the only two more current storylines that I have been working on. I have included answers to the fan posts below. I do receive more requests for edits than I will ever get to. One of the most frequent requests I'm receiving right now is for Lulu's storyline and for the continuation of Nik & Emily so those two are fairly high up on my priority list. I have been spending so much time transfering Joan's classic GH Episodes from 1981-1992 to dvd that I haven't had as much time to edit. I'm currently working on transfering Days 1984 complete original episodes dvd, and then I expect to continue to work on the 1993 GH episode transfer to dvd. Joan does also have AMC and OLTL episodes from July, 1994 - current time, and Days episodes from Feb, 1984 - curent time....good quality original episodes. Just email me for additional information. Nik & Emily Doing another Nik & Emily edit is on my to do list. I have edited from Natalia's arrival in spring, 2003 to late summer, 2005 through their breakup. For the next year of storyline, she is with Sonny and he is with Courtney (well at least for six months or so). It will be challenging to do a Nem edit during this time frame. I think I will do a Nik edit next picking up with his storyline and it will include all of his scenes with Courtney, Emily, ect. I will continue the "Nik" series until I get up to the point when Nem start having storyline together again. I can then go back and do the Nik & Emily #9, which will be more of a highlight edit of their few scenes together during that time frame so will condense the storyline down to when they are together and will not include all of Nik and all of Emily as the Nem #1-8 has done. I'm not sure when I will get to it, but it is on my "To Do" list. Jerry Jax I love Sebastian, he was a big hit at the GH Weekend last year. I would love to do an edit to him, ahhh so many edits on my to do list, so little time. Michael/Dylan Cash As far as the question about Michael edits, all of his scenes are included in the Sonny & Carly edits, you can see expanded descriptions of each of those under the S&C section of this web site. As for any interviews, yes I did interview him early on - his first interview ever and it was in the pool of the Sportman's Lodge, and you can check the descriptions of the "GH Luncheons" under the "GH Fan Club Weekend" banner or go to the section directly at: http://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/ghweekend/menu.html Lucky & Sam As for Lucky & Sam edits, I don't have any plans of starting a new series at this time. I haven't yet edited any of Greg's storyline and would probably go back and start from his arrival and do the Liz & Lucky to get him caught up first but no immediate plans of continuing the Liz & Lucky series just yet. 1982 Tiffany singing Episodes This is in answer question about Tiffany singing in 1982. I do have episodes where she did sing at Luke's Club in 1982 and at his casino in 1983 (she sang more often in 1983 as Gregory the DVX agent played the piano) and those are all described on the "GH Episode" section of my web site. Newest updates, I have completed the Jason & LIz #9, the Black & White Ball dvds. Currently working on finishing the Duke & Anna & Robin 1986 #12. Also in the works is the Early Carly #4 to finish up her 1997 storyline. I have finished transfering Joan's original episodes to dvd for all of 1986-1989, working on finishing up 1990. I know have complete GH daily episode write ups done from the few episodes I have from 1978-1980, and then more continuous episodes are described from 1981-Jan, 1985 (so far). There is also a good deal of 1988, and 1991 described....in the works are descriptions for 1985, 1986 and 1987 as a group of fans are diligently contributing to write ups to create a complete history of GH for the 1980's with daily episode descriptions. You can access the list of episodes and descriptions by going to the "GH Episode" banner on the main page of my site, you can then click on a link for each year to view the lists of episodes and write ups currently available. If there is a time frame your interested in receiving daily episode write ups for just email me and let me know and I will contact you when the wrte ups for that time frame become available. Nik & Courtney - I have edited Nik's storyline on the Nem #8 up through his break up with Em just too the point of getting involved with Courtney. I would like to continue editing his 2005 storyline but haven't gotten to it yet. Rick & Leslie - I have put together two 4 hour dvds for their engagement & Wedding in 1981 and I've done a 4 hr dvd of the episodes around Leslie's death. I haven't yet posted the descriptions on my web site. Rick & Leslie Engagement & Wedding November 24, 1981 - January 20, 1982 Includes proposal, engagement party, wedding, honeymoon, Christmas, New year's, through Laura's disappearence Leslie's Death Episodes Dvd March 8-15, 1984 - 4 hour dvd 3/8/84 Edited to Rick :11 mins Rick confronts Ginny 3/9/84 Complete Episode Rick talks to Leslie on the phone final time (she isn't seen) 3/12/84 Complete Episode Leslie is killed in a terrible car accident 3/13/84 Complete Episode Preparations for Leslie's Memorial 3/14/84 Complete Episode Leslie's Memorial 3/15/84 Complete Episode Rick doesn't press charges against Brock & Ginny for trying to frame him Early Robin - I love the classic GH. I like the idea of an Early Robin series from the time she began in Sept, 1985. So far I have done the Robert & Anna & Robin series from her arrival till June, 1986 and now starting with the Duke & Anna & Robin time frame and I am working on the #12, almost done with the first Duke & Anna #12A dvd....so working on doing the Scorpio family edits. I have also edited all of the Scorpio scenes from Feb, 1991 - April, 1992 through the final year of their storyline together. I still need to finish the rest of 1986, 1987-1990. I like the idea of doing an "Early Robin" series.....during the Asian Quarter, I like those edits as she is in them A LOT and is primarily to the storyline so would keep the whole storyline there with all of Robert, Anna, ect.... but after that story ends in Dec, 1985 and Robert leaves....Anna becomes police commish and goes off for the next few months investigating the Laurelton storyline and Robin is not at all involved in that....so during that time frame would be a great idea to condense it down to just Robin's scenes as Anna struggles to balance her new career and being a single mom. But first want to make some progress on finishing the 1986 time frame. stacey : ) |

I have completed the Jason & Liz #8 and working on the Jason & Liz #9 and making good progress on that tone. I've emailed anyone with questions below...as far as the future edit questions the Sonny & Emily and Sonny & Carly are tough ones. I haven't edited the S&C storyline since summer, 2005. That was during the Carly #3 time frame and she wasn't very popular so I would still have to do an S&C #36 with Jennifer in the role to finish out that time frame. Sonny's storyline spins off with Emily as Laura arrives as Carly. I don't know if I would continue S&C edits at that time as most of Laura's Carly is involved with Jax. Probably what I would do is a Carly series from the time Laura starts in the role and include all of her scenes with Sonny, Jason, Jax, ect. I haven't gotten to that yet as I've been working on redoing the Early Carly series....still have to do an Early Carly #4 to finish up the 1997 Carly time frame...so more likely to finish that up before I work on the later stuff. So this one will probably be next. As for Sonny & Emily, there hasn't been a lot of interest in Sonny's storyline after Tamara left as Carly...that is up till Kate arrived....so not sure how I will proceed. I would like to have all of Sonny's storyline compiled so eventually I will do that time frame but will probably due Skate (Sonny & Kate) before that as that is more requested. So no Sonny & Emily listed as I haven't edited the last couple of years for either Sonny, Carly, Nik, or Emily. Again mostly I've been working on classic Luke & Laura, Robert & Anna & Holly, the only more current edits I have done have been Jason/Sam/Liz and Scrubs. While I enjoy the current stuff, I have fun watching the classic stuff again and I'm fortunate to have good quality original episodes to edit from and since preserving the older classic stuff is important to me I tend to work on older footage more often lately. I have original episodes transfered now to dvd from 1981-1990 and have a few months of 1990 to transfer and then I will move onto working on transfering the 1992-1995 time frame. I'm looking forward to that as it is the early Jagger, Karen, Brenda, Jason, Robin time frame and I think that will be fun to check out. I would love to do a teen edit series...not just Jason's scenes or just Brenda's scenes (as are available on the Early Brenda or Early Jason edits) but the entire teen storyline at that time with the Teen Hotline, Prom, the island adventure, ect. So my top priority is getting the episodes transfered. We have also been working on getting the 1997-1998 PC episodes transfered. My offline friend, Joan, has original PC episodes from the premiere in 1997 and she has been transfering and making available episodes for PC from June, 1997 - March, 1998. I have then gone through and reloaded the episodes, dated and organized them. Stacey : ) |

Sorry for the delay in posting or getting back to anyone who requested information below. I have now responded via email to all questions. We live in the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego and received the notice early on Oct 22nd that there was a mandatory evacuation. I had been watching the progress of the fires and given how hot and furious the Santa Ana winds were blowing in our direction, I had started preparations the night before. Santa Ana's are winds that blow in the fall and they are very hot winds that blow from the desert in the east, and head in west towards us. We have had so little rain that everything was so dry. This was the worst fire in San Diego history. When we left the winds were blowing at near hurricane levels (unheard of in San Diego) nearly 70 mph ....by the time we evacuated there was ash filling the air, stinging our eyes, and we saw embers falling around us. It was a frightening time as there was a line of cars trying to get out of the area, sky was so dark with smoke and soot, it was very eerie. Working with dvds which I keep boxed up by year was easy to quickly load into the car, so glad hubby was home...I racked and stacked my entire 26 year collection of GH, all of my edits, all of the current orders into our van. Packed a suitcase and grabbed the important papers but didn't have time to get up to the attic to pull down all of the family pictures which we would have lost had our home been destroyed. We safely made it the coast area (we live about 20 minutes inland from the beaches) and found a wonderful hotel on the beach that not only took us in but our 50 lb dog! Not something they normally do. They were so very kind, even gave us a discounted rate and later in the week upgraded us to a larger suite with a kitchen and living room. So we were extremely lucky to find one of the last hotel rooms in San Diego, in one of the only areas not covered in smoke from the fires and had a restful, peaceful place to wait it out. We watched the news coverage and learned that a house in the court above our street had burned (and there is nothing but open area between us and them which all burned)....the apartment house two short blocks down the hill from us was on fire and we really didn't expect for our home to survive. One of our local news stations posted a scroll of house after house that had burned, three on our side of the neighborhood around the corner and down a couple of streets so as far as we could tell the fire had burned north of us, to the west just above our home, just east of us at the apartment complex and we were surrounded by it on three sides and had no idea how far into the neighborhood it swept. The next day, a neighbor (who works for the city) was able to get in and confirm that our block was okay. We were hugely relieved but then began grieving for all of the family after family as additional addresses were announced of homes lost. It was one of the saddest weeks of my life. Then on Wednesday after the fires had burned past us, the wind changed and once again our home on the west side was in danger as the fires started blowing back towards us! So we spent another anxious couple of days until the fires in that area were extinguished and we were allowed to return home. It was so sad driving back into our neighborhood as we viewed house after house that is completely gone, some whole blocks, others some homes were destroyed, then some are unaffected...just odd how the fire skipped around. We are a few blocks up from the most devastated areas. Our home is intact with no damage. A palm tree across the street burned and melted the tires on the car parked in front of it, and bushes at the house next to that burned and obviously some dug in the wood bark to put the fire out...so these two fires were extinguished. The house across the street had singe marks on their windows, and the siding was warped from the heat of the fire... we had a ring of eucalyptus trees around our house, very beautiful but we watched news reports of them exploding and being extremely flamable. I never thought I would be cutting down trees but that is the reality of the area we live in, we have had all of the trees on our property cut down. There was a fine layer of ash throughout the house, and took days of scrubbing, mopping, to get it out, washed all of the bedding, tons of clothes ...then started on the front yard to remove the ash there so we wouldn't keep tracking it back in the house, then tackled the garage and cleaned and organized that...now working on the backyard, cleaning that up, removing leaves, weeds, any dry brush on the hill behind us... I don't think our house has EVERY been so clean! So life for us is returning to normal, though we have had a lot of clean up expenses and doing a lot of preventative work on the yards that we needed to get to. So I have decided to part with my 20+ year collection of soap mags...our daughter is leaving for college in January so think she will be trying to sell them on ebay to raise money for her expenses. When we started organizing the attic, I couldn't believe how many I had kept! I have probably hundreds of issues, many for GH actors, many year end special issues, fall previews, spring previews, wedding covers. In addition to GH covers, there are also AMC, OLTL, PC, Days (have a TON on this show as well),Y&R, B&B, ATWT, GL, even some special AW covers. I would love to sell the entire lot of all of the mags.... I would also be interested in offering them by each show.....though understanding that some fans only collect on one actor or couple, I decided to list the GH issues organized by actor. So anyone interested can email me for the listing on each actor. As for edits, haven't done anything new in the past couple of weeks....had finished the Baccanalia Ball dvd from 1998, finished the Liz & Lucky #15, the Luke & Laura Reunion #2, #3 which goes through the attic mystery, her breakdown and departure and Laura's 2006 return with L&L's wedding. Currently, have started work on the Just Jason #5 from 1997 but haven't gotten very far on that yet. Also working on typing up info on the 1989 epsiodes....making great progress on descriptions for the 1984 episode write ups, and will be working on 1986 next.
