Vacations-Abroad.com 17, Sep 2006 links@herefordpies.com http://www.vacations-abroad.com/usa/vermont/default.aspx You have some great photos of Vermont. Too bad you dont post them on a more current basis on your blog. Just a short description and a photo on a daily basis would be great.

Kate 11, Feb 2006 katiekate@gmail.com http://xoetc.antville.org KC, it's good to see that even though you're not spending a lot of time at your computer these days, you're keeping up your online journal somewhat. It's always interesting to get caught up on your doings. Wow, 50 degrees warmer than it should be! That's almost scary, isn't it. Here in Saskatchewan, it's been a crazy winter too. We haven't even had winter yet, really. While we do have lots of snow -- thankfully -- the mercury hovers around the freezing point most days. It should be down at 20 below, or lower, at this time of year. Can't say I miss the severe cold that is considered normal for a Saskatchewan winter, but it does make me wonder what we are in for as a planet, it's that unusual. Ciao for now.

Heather 06, Dec 2005 justjunkmail@hotmail.com http://www.spiritblog.net I love the detail that Hagrid delivered Harry on Sirius' motorcycle! That shows such good planning that she could slip foreshadowing of book 3 into the first chapter of book 1.

F 25, Aug 2005 It is frustrating for me to see people twice my age acting less than half my age. We only appear to get once around this spin called life, why waste it on immature acts and emotions -- costing all those around you. I feel your pain! Remember all those things they do from childish jealousy to emotional blackmail to guilt ridden manipulations are their own shortcomings, not yours. I wished I lived in Vermont, too!!

Frederick 29, Jul 2005 I bleach things all the time. I say it adds character, G. says it "ruins" it. I say, just go buy another one, then. She says it cost xx$, I say so what, now you have a new shirt. I have no problem spending money on clothes, guns, motorcycles, a new hat, good food, computers, penthouse mags, you name it... money doesn't grow on "sprees", but there's no shortage of it in the world, either. At least that's what I tell G. when it's time to go get a new shirt because I bleached the whole load of darks again!

firemind 25, Jun 2005 http://firemind2.blogspot.com Sabbatical? If writing is becoming a chore a break may help. I can understand you not wishing to write when tired or upset. If writing is one way to release stress and feel connected then a break may make you feel irritable and isolated. It's a matter of perspective.

firemind 08, Jun 2005 http://firemind2.blogspot.com kc - hopefully this will work this time. dreambook didn't like me a few days ago. previous posts: Yeah, all faithful vehicles go to car heaven. My old civic is there somewhere.:) What length is the canoe? My dad had a 16ft freigter canoe that he would use with paddles and/or kicker. It was big but stable and good for us kids and mom as well as him. Latest: It takes two to fight and they both say they're correct. Sounds like my family. :)

kate 24, Apr 2005 twoshoes@sasktel.net http://xoetc.antville.org KC, Art is art. It's like writing - not everyone is going to appreciate everything. The best writers have their critics; so do the best artists. I think if one is to be true to oneself in order to get the best art, the best writing, one needs to ignore the positive reviews as well as the negative. But at least ignore the negative if one can't forgo the positive. And remember -- those who can, do; those who can't, criticize. Love, Kate

firemind 28, Sep 2004 http://firemind2.blogspot.com I grew up around hunting for trophies and food. One big difference in my town was that people took the kill home and not to public places. We used to read magazines from the US that showed things we thought excessive. Hunters in camo with their dogs standing beside vehicles draped with deer. My dad would shake his head. In Yukon and northern BC there is still a cultural split like you talked about.

firemind 25, Sep 2004 http://firemind2.blogspot.com Two points: Cords of wood - I will be stacking and moving wood at my parents place in Whitehorse. It helps with the bills but can be a pain. How much is a cord or two? Enough that when it starts to shift it is bad for fences. A neighbour had his stack shift and knock a fence over. Bush - I don't like Bush, but I understand what you are saying. The rhetoric coming from Kerry isn't going to win him any friends in the military. As for Iraq - he should read some of the blogs originating there. Sewer politics during an election - both sides are guilty - does nothing to help things when the election is over.

firemind 22, Sep 2004 http://firemind2.blogspot.com Very good kc. I think you have enough experience writing here to keep writing for yourself and interacting with us. Comments are a blogging thing but secondary to writing. (But oooh so much fun - I have more online friends that 'real' ones.) Good job with the html clean up esp the home button. No need to accidentally 'spam' yourself.:) The moon phase thing is neat and not too intrusive. If you see something you like on other blogs ask the blogger. You are more likely to get a response now than before. This is a reminder that we already know, but I will say it again for you, me and friends. Don't forget that guestbooks/ comments are public whereas email is private. As a person who has a pseudonym/nickname and gets called firemind and Leon online, and has too many email accounts, I tend to juggle a bit. So far I haven't had a problem respecting the various names of friends. Thanks for the plug kc and I am glad to help. ------- I haven't seen a moose in years. Up in northern BC and Yukon I have seen many. In Greater Victoria we have hordes of deer though. cheers.

firemind 21, Sep 2004 http://firemind2.blogspot.com Click on my link and return here. The guestbook remains in the same window (in Mozilla). When I click on your links (especially home) extra windows open up. This is ok for a site like bacon and eh's because the goal is to show different sites. Your site is more focused and people are interested in your views. Your home button should not do this. I am sure that the html in the parentheses (target="_blank") is causing all of the extra windows. <b>This definitely has to be removed for 'home'</b>. You probably only need it for your email link - but have a look at my firemind email link (view source). The green is nice and fits your blog. The moon phase is appropriate and fun. Comment courtesy hint - if a comment is nice or helpful acknowledge it with a 'thanks' or a comment here. You can pop over to another persons blog and comment. leave a comment in my guestbook when you read this and/or work on the html. cheers fm
