So sad to read your all too familiar though woeful tale of the hair-do gone wrong! From my limited knowledge of the town in which you reside, I think it's safe to say you'd be welcome in stores such as Stitches, Urban Behaviour, and Garage, no matter what colour your hair may be. Perhaps those uppity busybodies in a certain home decor shop should bury themselves further in inventory checks of the ever-useful doily rather than harassing decent customers.
