I am searching for information about John Roach(e) and two sons one called Thomas the other not known who came to Canada (N.S. or N.B. around 1790 from Cork. John was my g.g.g.gf. His son Thomas studied for the ministry but was never ordained.
Johns wifes name was Jean.. She does not appear to have come with her husband and two sons to Canada.? The father John and the 2nd son did not stay long in New Brunswick and son Thomas never heard from them again after they left for Boston ? |

for the Hopewell that landed in South Carolina sometime around 1765 I believe. My Great great Grandfather and 1 maybe 2 brothers were on that ship. Another family member has seen the list somewhere but unknown where and unable to ask him now. Grandfathers name was William Gibson. There are lots of names here though and I am sure somebody will be delighted to find their relations. Very nicely done. I have been told the gibson name probably comes from of the Northern Counties of Ireland. I have been looking for an Irish site thanks. vicki |

grandparents were Dixie Ellis and Catherine (nee Vickery) m. Bantry 1818 (both Irish families). Have their children b. Ireland and Isle of Man -- those who emigrated to NZ (Arthur, Nicholas, Samuel) have traced (Nicholas my g.grandfather) but no detail of sisters born in Ireland, one buried in Peel, Isle of Man. Would appreciate any information of daughters of Dixie and Catherine -- Catherine b. about 1826; Sarah b. about 1828; Mary J. b. about 1830.
