| Comments: | hey there,
greetings from Southampton, England. You're work is really inspiring. I grew up with John's music in the background in Chile, yeah far away. I have just finished my degree in physics. It'd be nice to make a short visit next time I go to the States. Anyways keep it up. |

| Comments: | I really enjoyed looking at everything offered here about John.
I have been a devotee of John Denver since I first heard "Take Me Home Country Roads" back in 1970. I was 13 years old. I'm now 50 and just as much in love with his music as ever. I love to listen to the sound of his voice, which mellowed over time, just like a fine wine. But I also get a deep spititual feeling listening to the lyrics of so many of my favorite songs. Because they express so much of my OWN feelings and beliefs I have even recorded a selection of his works and arranged that they be played at my funeral. Songs like "Looking For Space" and "The Wings That Fly Us Home" amongst others. Over the years I took a lot of teasing and being made fun of because of my love for John but eventually I learned to stand up for myself and tell people that some folks feel that Elvis speaks to them ..... or Sinatra, maybe. Some folks feel that Springsteen or John Lennon speaks for THEM. For me it always has been John Denver who spoke the things that I felt but was not able to express for myself: love for my child, concern for Mother Earth and all of Her creatures, fauna AND flora. So many things. John's death was a TERRIBLE loss ........ for ALL of us. Thank all of you for honoring his memory so well and for letting me share as well. |

| Comments: | Wow, am I ever glad to find this site! I just created a new message board dedicated to John, and was perusing various sites for him and was most delighted to see fans in New Hampshire with their own page!
You see, I was born in NH, in 1961. I first lived in New Boston, my real, original hometown (although I'm a Seattle girl now), then in Portsmouth. It was while I was in Portsmouth that I grew to love John Denver and other folk/rock performers like Joan Baez, Simon & Garfunkel, Melanie and Bobbie Gentry. One of my older sisters, who's a true JD fan, would let me come in her room and I'd lie on her bed and listen to all these great performers. Even though I've been in Washington State since August 1978, having moved here from Mississippi (and to there from NH), I'm still a New Hampshireman deep in my heart. Thanks so much for this site, and LIVE FREE OR DIE! Helen in Seattle (aka jdspirit on the Starwood message board, in my Homepage URL). |

| Comments: | Hello. I'm actually from Vermont but have loved JD's music forever and hearing it now is still such a joy. The cowboy and the Lady is one of my favorite recordings he did althoughnhe didn't write it. He was a true humanitarian in so many ways and lived what he said, regardless of any personal problems he had... |

| Comments: | Hi everyone, I am a cumbrian woman from the UK and love to listen to JD music on a daily basis. I hope to visit Aspen in the near future just to see what JD's songs were actually all about, I think I will fall in love with the place as I have seen pictures of the area. I am also deaf but can just about hear the songs of JD, so I am fortunate I have music in my life. |

| Comments: | A great big thanks to all those folks that attended the Friends With You: John Denver Tribute show at the Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry. Nearly 100 JD fans braved the horrendous weather to listen to some fine musicians performing many of John's tunes as well as some of their own. I want to thank Chris, Mark, Kevin and Paul for putting on such a great show! Maybe we can get them back here again sometime!!

| Comments: | I first feel in awe of John Denver and his music, some 33 years ago. His beautiful voice and down to earth spirit captured my heart and soul forever. His caring ways of nature and human nature brings goosebumps of joy.
Seeing him in concert, just being in the same room as he, breathing the same air.. farrrr out! John's death deeply saddened me. I continue to celebrate his life by listening to his music - and honoring his endearing spirit. I have a collection of JD treasures that I cherish. I certainly feel blessed to have known of him, he certainly made a lasting impression, of touching my spirit. Recently, I got a "real" computer, I had webtv before..too limited. I've been venturing out.. going to a lot more sites than before. That's how I found your web site. NH Friends of John Denver. You brought a truth of coming together to me; with all your pictures and just sharing your common love of the enviroment and of our friend John Denver. It's much easier for me to relate to all of you, since you're not too far away geographically. Thank you for your wonderful, enlighting site. Peace. |
