» Hey Gabe:
I'm in OnCue and I just wanted to say thanks again for that great session last week. We all left feeling inspired and rejuvenated again and ready to take on our next creative challenge. Your honesty was much appreciated and I think it brought us back to where we needed to be. Thinking about the music and how we make it together. We have big plans for the future to actually "destroy" those notes when we have them. No more of this too polite Canadian bullshit anymore! Thanks again!

You're obviously reading into something that isn't there. No bitterness here....only the right to express an opinion in an articulate and respectful way, to which we should all be entitled. You're making a mountain out of a molehole with your insinuations. You also chose to condemn me for a condescending tone when you yourself took one with me. I'm not going to defend myself, especially when no harm was intended in the first place. Oh well....

Happy Holidays.

» Whitney,

I strongly disagree with your comments about the quality of Gabriel's music. However, taking into account that you're just eleven years old and also that musical tastes are a subjective matter...I won't criticize you. Gabriel's body of work is best appreciated by those who have loved and lost, those who have been scorned by peers and those who can truly relate to depth of emotions that his lyrics and music convey. At eleven years old, I'm not sure that you have the maturity and life's experience to comprehend or appreciate it. Maybe someday you will. =) Oh, and Whitney, life isn't an "artichoke," it's about turning lemons into lemonade. Love ya, Gabriel. =)

I think you have lots of talent but your using it in the wrong way!! But hey,I'm only 11 so what do i know?? I thougt you might want to know what some of us kids think!!

» I arrived at the El Rey only anticipating a solid performance by Jamie Cullum. But I was so blown away by your song writing. The lyrics and emotion in each song were so genuine. You are truly a throw back to an era when substance in your craft mattered. I wouldn't doubt it if you were channeling the greats through you that night. I look forward to another opportunity to see you live. The band was great and the chemistry with the audience was tight. I enjoyed myself beyond my expectations that night and I thank you for the experience. Keep up the amazing work!

» Gabe,
While I have not had the pleasure of hearing your albums (although I think that will quickly change), I take great joy in the fact that I heard your first live performance in a small auditorium in S.A. in the Spring of '90. While your recollection of those days is fairly somber and dark, I remember sitting next to you at the piano at your house several years before and being absolutely blown away by not only your talent, but also your spirit. Sorry I never told you that back then. All the best.
