Comments: So... I see my comment is still here from 2 years ago...way down at the bottom. :) I can't believe it's been that long! We met a little over 2 years ago when I was backstage at a show near Sacramento. Most amazing show and one of the best experiences ever. I'm itching to get to a show.... thinking that I'll make it up to Ridgefield, WA. Hope to see you there! If you get a chance, drop me a line-- I'd love to hear how you are doing. As I recall you saying... "Wine, women, and song!"

Comments: Hey There~
If I wanted to surprise my friend with a b-day card signed by you, what would you recommend? A girl needs to procede with caution where pirates are concerned!
She was lucky enough to meet you way back at the Seattle Show, I believe there is actually photgraphic evidence of that too.
You and Jim were very cool and were so good to her, that now you all have a fan in me.
Enjoy AZ while you're here!!!
Comments: Hello downtown Dave! I hope that it is you that reads this. I don't know if you even remember this girl from Ohio, but I want you to know that I never got to go to Barcelona, but I wish I had. Thank you for giving me words of encouragement. I hope you are doing great. I still think of you with awe, but I am not 20 anymore, I am now 27 with a bachelors in business administration(which is useless!) And now I am in nursing school. ( I know nothing exciting, but lots of hard work on my part) If you are able I would love to hear from you. You have always resided close to my heart even after all these years. Even if you don't remember me, I still remember you "Downtown Dave"!

Comments: I have always and continue to believe, since I first had the pleasure in Maine to witness (and confirm during a second night of playing that I convinced( possibly conned) ya’ ll to do) the finest in musical exorcism, The Monks of Doom create the most pleasing of black magic music hoodoo!
I am sure that the previous long winded statement makes little sense, but it does my heart good to know that the collaboration is still being pursued. David, Victor, Greg, and Chris ( I don’t know if you all still are in contact, but if you are please pass this along), I wish you all long life and fulfillment and thank you for two performances that have remained with me, 15 years later, as a highlight of my audio engineering career. All hail the Insect God!

Comments: Loved your show last night in RI. Got there at 11 am to get that front row center position, I've never been so pleased by a show in my life. Thanks so much for all the great riffs over the years, and I hope to hear many more in the future. Your music has been there in all the times in my life; the positive and the negative, and at times provided the only comfort I could find. I know I sound like a creepy stalker fan, but I mean these things in all honesty, with gratitude and complete lack of the creep factor. Thanks for everything, Immy!

Comments: Remember when you and Adam were leaving the Telluride show, and these two idiots nearly walked right into you, and then stood and stared at you like total morons, w/o saying anything? Yeah, I was half of that. lol
In our defense, we had been walking around in the total darkness for 45 mins after the show, trying to find our car. The altitude made us disoriented and stupid (Well, me, anyway - I can't speak for the guy I was with. He is probably still stupid when right at sea level.).
But if I had had my wits about me, and maybe some oxygen handy, I would have said, "hey, great show," because it was an AMAZING show. Return of the Grievous Angel, that version of Mercury....absolute genius. It was an honor to be there. You rock. :)

Comments: Just stopping in for the update. Looking forward to that ice tea at jazz fest. Can you believe they went up on the prices last year. The oysters, crawfish, alright I can understand those but did the price of water go up after Katrina? No matter, can't live without the ice tea. I'll actually check out your set this year! Maybe I'll run into you at the 007 set.

Comments: Hi David,
...just surfed the net for some John Hiatt Tickets in Vancouver March 2007 and came up to your website.
We once met in cologne were we changed a few warm words before your gig with John and the nashville queens at the " Prime Club". I'm still very impressed by your guitarplaying and for me your style is very unique. Thanks for all the fun listening to your guitars. Kind regards Thomas from Cologne.

I guess little ole me looks threatening! Last time I checked you can't convict on smells, right? Keep on rockin'.
Comments: Before being a CC fan I was a Hiatt fan, and oddly enough (or not) favored the disks featuring Immy more than the others (and there are some impressive names), Especially " the stripped down "Crossing Muddy...". CC fan (read "nut") since "August..." Finally saw in Buffalo '06 - Awesome! Can't wait for anything new!

Comments: Hey Immy,
You guys were great yesterday at Raley Field. It was nice hanging out and watching you guys F with each other. My daughter really liked your music. She was laughing when you brought up how surprised you were to hear that I had a daughter that old. Man, I thought you were my age, at the oldest.
Anyway, We're playing with Dave Gleason's Wasted Days in a week or so & I'll say hi to him for you. You are ridiculously good at what you do. Thanks for the show. Please tell Jim he can use my drums next time you guys are in Sac. if it'll save him the hassle.

Comments: Just wanted to drop a line to say how unbelievable you were at the Dallas show last nite! You looked and sounded SO good. I really think that was the best CC show that I have ever been to. Truly a nite to remember.
I wish that I had been able to capture the Hanginaround Donkey Incident on film. That was, um, quite a moment. lol
Awesome, awesome, awesome. You rock! :)

Comments: Immy...I can never stop listening to your incredible melodic riffs in your CC work. I have to start listening to some of your other projects, I know, but there is something very special about the marriage of your guitar work, Charlie's keys, and Adam's vocals, that I haven't heard in 40 years of listening to music and 30 years of playin. Rock on, keep playin how you feel, b/c its a gift to all of us that have been blessed enough to listen! Thanks!!!
Comments: Immers....it was so good to see you guys jam last night in Chicago...what an amazing show and you were ofcourse BRILLIANT! Lovin' the Monks new CD and looking forward to seeing you guys play sometime!!! Hey, I saw Souled American a few weeks ago, thanks for turning me on to them a few years ago...they were quirking as usual and Jeff Hammand and the guys say Hello!
Thanks for the props last night...you will always be my favorite!

Saw you in Hershey, Pa a few weeks ago and totally enjoyed it as always. I've seen you play a few other times over the last few years as well...You might remember me as the guy who yelled "GIMME IMMY" when Adam introduced you, although I doubt you can hear much from the limelight. I think you are such a good fit with CC, but I'm also glad you choose to spread your musical seeds with other projects. I picked up the latest MOD disc at the CC show and it hasn't left my cars cd player since. Um... all the stuff I would have ever said to you -
"good job getting a haircut, that unruly mess needed to go"
"heard you play poker, me too ! lets get together"
"I had your cell phone number for several years but never wanted to be THAT guy... and I've kept the # to myself so no worries. Promise I'll never call you either"
"nothing makes me happier than hearing/watching you play mandolin"

I saw the MOD show @ Cafe Du Nord and was totally blown away. unfortunately I missed the campout last year and was really hoping to catch you there. I'm sure you make much more $ w/ CC but I like your other ventures more! Love the new site.
Comments: Proud CKKL member! Loved you on 6-22 in seattle! You actually handed me your guitar pick at the end of the show! Can't thank you enough!!! have a great tour "bindi boy"!!!

We met Saturday at the Sleep Train Ampitheater...perhaps you recall the unruly Heineken bottle caps? :)
It was truly an honor and a pleasure to meet you- I have loved CC's since the beginning and have always dreamed of being able to mingle with ya'll. Thank you for taking the time to chat- you are an amazing and gracious person- I hope that we can meet up at a future show...
Any time you want to see Mt. Shasta let me know!
Comments: Immy, I wanted to thank you for being so kind to me Thursday night in Seattle. This was my very first CC show and I was delighted that you and Jim took the time to chat with me for a moment or two at the sound booth. (You even indulged my request for a photograph, which I might be willing to share) I certainly hope that I will have the opportunity to see you perform again sometime because, well, y'all are fantastic!!!
Goodnight...Joni

Just wanted to mention that you have fabulous hair. I think that I said that in the old forum, but it bears repeating.
You're such a talented musician, and yet all of us girls reduce you to a marvelously-coiffed sex object. Don't you just hate that? lol
Looking forward to the tour - caught the show in KC back in April and y'all sounded fantastic! The KC show was a little less acoustic than recent shows - I guess that's the new direction for this tour. Good stuff, altho I miss your mandolin solos a little.
Keep rockin' and whatnot. :)

Comments: Life is weird. I was checkin' out Crackers home page for news on the new album and there was a picture of you. You've gone some crazy places since the days of Ophelia.
Hi David,
My name is Julie. You and I met (how many times have you heard this) years ago and a little punk rock bar called Hairy Mary's in Des Moines, Ia...in '93. The Monks of Doom played with the Supersuckers. After the show we made fun of their name being so close to Superchunk, you told me you were keeping rhythm with my dancing and invited me to Iowa City...where I followed you to the following night. You gave me your cali phone number that night. I called a few times..and like a little freak hung up. I don't expect you to remember this it was 13 years ago (i can't believe i've lived here that long). Your musical career has popped up in my life in some strange places. Take Care, keep rockin’ and get yer ass back to Des Moines. I’d love to see the Monks of Doom again.
