The study is designed to determine what biological and psychological factors predict response to medication or psychotherapy treatment in people with depression. Patients in these studies will be randomly assigned to receive either an FDA-approved medication or cognitive behavioral therapy. No placebos are used. Because this is a clinical research study, patients will not be billed for their visits or for any of the therapy they receive – a real benefit for many of our patients for whom mental health services are not covered or are under-covered.

I love the network and all the wonderful things they are doing for us. Sherry and the whole group they are a wonderful group. I am out fighting for advance directives to go in to law nationwide. I am walking the beat and beating of doors sometimes not even knowing who is behind that door. It is of utmost importance that they listen to us. So please everybody fight from where ever you are with all you've got. I have even known people that are dead today because a doctor said just give it more time. It even almost happened to me a few weeks ago. Mr doctor suddenly decided that with all the hoop do la on TV that he would change my meds and they did not work. With the help of my boss and my team and my support network. They got me a doctor and my Zyprexa and I am fine. This doctor is an old friend of mine and he knew that I knew what works for me and what doesn't but he did it anyway so he is history. Anyway don't mean to go on and on about advance directives. Wait a minute OH YES I DO! |

The website is fantastic also. We didn't have the geek know-how a few years ago. The only downside was the Winter 2005 Pipeline.
