I am recently going over Patricia "Diane" (Gose) Schroeder's genealogical work as I am trying to put together grandpa Curley's life history. I am wondering if you are related to his sister Irene who has a daughter Vickey? I am trying to get copies of legal documents and bibles for my files and would be interested in getting in touch with you. I have done genealogical work for almost 2 years now and am just getting to poor grandpa Curley's things. He recently moved to his daughters house and I have carefully gone through his things and kept as much genealogical documentation as possible. | Comments: | My mother was a Gose. Born in Missouri John Peter Gose moved family to Martinsville Indiana and his son David moved his family to Spickard Missouri. Her father Robert moved his family to Wyoming. Used a box car on the train to transport their possessions and they remained there. When she married she moved to the Black Hills where I was born. My grandfather "Bob Gose" seemed like a giant and was a true western rancher also tryed to drill for oil. WWII caused a problem with that and he died in 1942. I liked your presentation and continue looking for information about the Goses, Sprechers and Spanglers I noted one thing, When Philip married Elizabeth Spangler, she was the widow of John Huddle of Virginia and had three sons. Two of them married Gose daughters. My husband is a descendant of the Huddle family. however since she married Philip, I am not. So actually her name when they married was Elizabeth Spangler Huddle.
