Comments:I am writing a little workbook to be use as part of a Gourd Crafing class that I will be teaching this Spring for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UAH in Huntsville Alabama. Comments:I would like to get ideas for decorating my goards. Right now i hand carve them and paint my designs. After this I drill holes in center of flowers, that I have carved. I drill a 1" hole in the back and place a light. Makes a nice night light. Turn all the lights off in the house. Its just wonderful.

Comments:Great web-site, this is my first year growing gourds and I didn't know when to cut them off the vine, your web-site directed me to the correct way to take them off and when to do it as well as storing for the Winter. I live in Florida so we don't have much of a winter to worry about. I plan to make bird houses for my grandchildren and gifts for friends and family.

Comments:This is my second season of growing gourds. Have about 200 seedlings growing now. We grow on trellis and have had a great first season. Texas is a great place for growing gourds. Have lots of ornamental and birdhouses. Also one big bushel that originally weighed about 50 lbs or more now can lift with one finger. Loved your site...
