| Comments: | Hi Glenn a really informative site. iam somewhat like you, i go after EXCELLANCE . i live in BARBADOS WEST INDIES it is hard to get good birds down here, but iwas fortunate to obtain three breeding pairs of BILL O'CALAGHAN'S birds from a good friend . He had imported them into the island about 2yrs ago and was doing nothing with them. i understand that Bill's birds are of the Ollie Harris strain. what are the DOS AND THE DON'TS with this particular strain? | Comments: | dude you go .i live in iowa and i raise rollers i have raised birds for about 30 years and rollers are the shit .i got out of rollers for about 2 years to start a business and just got back in to them i got started from todd millard here in iowa and he just said here take my best breeders and raise what ever you want and dont worry about me beeting you .he sent home his best and hi favorite birds home with me .it was something no body ever does with anybody i thank him for that .thats what more people need to do in this HOBB Yand thats what should happen.so i now have some really good birds and need to just get them going .theres one more guy that should get some adda boyz is harold ryan he used to be in this hobby and the nbrc srewed it up for him ,i have got him back into raiseing his birds .the ones he had left he was my idel at rollers he had good one .but it has been great to have the birds back in my life once a bird man always a bird man and i no you no that one.cause you are to .well it was nice chating with you .i think kind of like you on the nbrc thing .its all about haveing fun and friends.shawn skillman |

Ive had rollers for 30 years the last 20 ive settled with a line from an old friend who has pasde away now ,his name was Bob Scott,to me he had some of the best penson and Smith famillys in so. flying agaist other breeders is fun but, on the otherhand it may be upsetting ,also when the kit do not perform the way you want them to on fly day. The otherhand your always trying to breed that perfect roller that no one seems to have,while putting your best birds togather inhopes of winning the fly next year. |

I was beginning to think that I was the only one that still believed in trying to breed the ultimate bird rather than a kit of busy birds. I could care less if I ever win a competition I just love to see that one idividual champion rip off that perfect style roll with unbelievable speed and depth.
