Comments:This is a weird request, but a serious one! I visited Shelter Cove for the first time last week on a vacation to Northern California from Michigan; we've been to North Cal a dozen times, but last week was our first trip to Shelter Cove. I love love love the gray stones on the beach that are etched with white lines and squiggles. I took a pocketful with me, but couldn't get enough. I'd like to find someone in or around Shelter Cove who'd be willing to fill up 4-5 shoeboxes with stones from the beach and send them to me. I'll pay shipping and an extra $50 for labor. I'm looking for 1-3" stones with sqiggly white lines on them for an insert in a floor in a new house I'm building in Michigan. Any ideas about how to connect with someone who'd be willing to help with my enterprise? I'm not crazy, I'm just a fan of the stones. My email is tracey.aaron@prodigy.net Thanks for any advice/info you can provide! Tracey Bradish

Comments:I visited shelter cove many years ago when I was in the Navy to do some camping and fishing. I thought it was the most beutiful spot I had ever seen then and from thr clips I've seen, it still is. Back then there was a commercial fishing fleet of 24FT aluminum skiffs out of there, are they still there and can anyone tell me who made those little rugged boats.

Comments:I've been here only once before. That was 10 years ago and I'll finally be getting back here again this summer. Oh for joy! So where does a dumb city slicker like me find some decent Fish & Chips to eat? I've heard rumors about some faboo eats in Shelter Cove. Is this true? If so expect me and about 30 of my vacationing Honda Car Club buddies to be scoffing them up this summer. erp* Woo Hoo!

Comments:DOES THIS GET YOUR ATTENTION? “In his second week in office George W. Bush created the task force, officially known as the National Energy Policy Development Group (NEPDG) with Dick Cheney as chairman. This group was supposed to develop an energy policy for the Bush administration. With both Bush and Cheney coming from the energy industry, which had contributed heavily to their campaign, and with the group proceeding in extreme secrecy,” “Most of the activities of the Energy Task Force had not been disclosed to the public, even though Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests (since 19 April 2001) have sought to gain access to its materials.” From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Prices at the gas pump have jumped 104 percent from $1.47 per gallon in January 2001 to $3.00 today, with prices rising by 40 cents in four weeks this spring. The price for a barrel of oil has more than doubled during the Bush Administration from $30.63 in January 2001 to $73.87 today.
