As a boy and young man, I used to raise fantails and other breeds but fantails (powered silver which now seem to be called powder blues) were my favorite. I used to show with the Eastern Fantail Club and was a member with them in the 50's and 60's. I grew up in the Wilmington, Delaware, area. I remember some names in particular Bob Kingkinger of Reading, PA, and Reed Kinzer in the Amish Country of Pennsylvania. Uncle Sam brought me out to California in 1970 and I have been in Northern California ever since. I have not had any pigeons since 1968 when I went in the Air Force. I don't see pigeons out here.
